Hmm, it seems like everyone still had a good time, regardless of the overpopulation of anime and such. I got a pic or 2 with Indy and some 501st dudes. I think I understand how to post pictures, so I'm gonna give it a shot... one small step for man...

    [image=http://www.geocities.com/askywalker_64/DSC00489.JPG]

And finally we had a red dude jump in the picture with the troops and jedi...

I hope this works.... they may not work at times if I go over my bandwidth or something...

Didn't appear to work! I've never even bothered to try to post pictures within the body of a message. While it is cool, it seems overly complicated for something that should be as easy as "insert picture" type of thing. I'd send them to Stefanie, or even to me if you want, and then they can be posted in on the Orlando Fan Force site.

right click on the pic and get the properties, then cut and paste the link into the addy bar. You people have no idea how big Indy's head is getting. I showed him your posts and everyone that went to MegaCon went histarical.

Thanks for the heads up on that gallery upload Brandon. All I can say about Dale is... two words.... Pimp Daddy!
You Lucky Nerfherder! Wow those Trooper girls were pretty hot... they can fire some wild shots at me any day... I think I saw Jabba Du Hutt Sunday too...no offense- but two words for Brandon... overly caucasian. All your pictures look like my family pictures everyone stuffy and unenthused... my goal for you is to get someone taking a picture of you flicking off the camera or pretending to hump some statue! Stef... loved the tie! You looked like a punky manager at Starbucks! 'Oh you have a problem with our coffee... here's your refund' as you pour the scalding hot coffee in their face! Brad Dourif didn't look to happy being there. How much was it to get autographs there?

It looks like everyone had a good time. I wish I could have gone. Oh well, maybe next year when I'm not trying to balance work and school.

Also, Steph, about a month ago I e-mailed you my profile for the Orlando System site. Did you get it? I figured you were busy, but I just want to make sure.

Dale, you are the man. That's a great biker uniform and Alison was definitely not the only Mack at MegaCon.

For me, as is often the case, possession was nine-tenths of my reason for attending, and materialistic me came away with some choice low-cost finds. Two items I set out to find, I found and got at great prices. $5 each brought in R2-Q5 (2), Asajj Ventress (non-animated), and also the Pit Droids of E1. I saw each of these priced at various booths for up to $20 each, so it was a smile. And despite not seeing Dale, I paid tribute to the man by getting the Gentle Giant Biker Scout Bust.

I was a little overbooked this weekend as I had to work, the film festival also started Friday, and I was scheduled to volunteer at both. I was sort of dreading the gig at MegaCon wishing to just plunk down some cash and forgo the servitude. Fortunately, I had such a good time so as to nearly guarantee I'll do it next year as well. I started before my shift doing simple tasks like answering questions and stuffing MegaCon programs into MegaCon bags. This lead to helping an artist, Arne Starr, unload his wares and watching his booth for a while. Rewarded with a bunch of Columbia Pictures posters. I also fetched some lunch for Brian Thompson and Marc Singer which was good practice for my new job as a room service captain.

After a quick break, the coordinator, "liked my demeanor," and asked if I could assist Brad Dourif. Sure. So I was the guy on Friday who stood with him and let the audience know how much autographs were ($20), and how it all worked, and controlled the flow of people as they reached Dourif. When he was ready to take a break we shut down, talked about Gollum, Wormtongue, and Chucky for awhile, and I escorted him out to the coffee stand. Nothing spectacular, but always interesting to meet interesting people.

I wish I'd made it to the Star Wars Fan Flicks on Friday, but in fact, I didn't even have time to sit in on any of the presentations or panels. It was a fine full Friday, and at the last minute I was able to go for an hour again Saturday, but I agree with Anthony, FX is more my speed. It seems Anime has a solid fanbase here in Central Florida, if only Star Wars could boast such a clan. -Campbell

Well, wait, I *am* caucasian, very white. I may not look too happy, but I really was. The "hair picture" Stefanie took just to get me to see what I looked like, so the only other two I am in, with Brad (uhg) and Stefanie (not too bad) are the only "real" ones. Oh, wait, damn, the Fantastic Four one, too. Well, come on, look at the picture. The guy has his package facing towards me. What would you look like? For the people that like the necktie she was wearing, I'd like to say thank you because it is, in fact, my tie, and I am quite fond of it. I suppose all of my clothes look better on other people. Hm, yes, I will go naked next year. Why the hell not.

    Stef,

    Nice job with the site.

Padme was just too funny, although Im a little jealous. Lol. He even has his gay pride flag on his arm. See I didnt call it the fag flag, I dont want to upset anybody so I figured I would leave that out.

I dont want to say any names, but damn somebody knew what they were doing at Megacon. Although I may not have seen all the cool artists and annime, I had one hell of a time. Dragon Con here I come!

Karma here from the Daytona Beach FF....just to let you all know, the "padme guy" from MegaCon last year wasn't wearing a Padme outfit- it was a costume from "Battlestar Galactica." (I think that's what it was, it was a sci-fi tv show from the 70's). My husband asked him.

You guys are driving me crazy with all the talk of the costumes at the show, etc. I wasn't able do go to the show because of my work load, and I am realizing now that I haven't put on a costume at a con (usually Boba Fett) in over 2 years! Arrgh!

The irony is that my work currently is making costumes- but for clients, not me! Its starting to really get to me.

I usually wouldn't give anyone 2 cents for an anime or comic-related costume, but now I'd even love to go see ANY costumes just to see people's work, mingle, etc.

Still, its good to see that area of the hobby expanding- no matter what genre' is is from. I heard that there was a group of people doing GI Joe costumes as well- anyone see that?

I didnt see any GI-Joe's there, except for one ... kid/teenager? wearing a camoflauge outfit. He was wearing the entire thing correctly, which still amazes me. Maybe he was in the military/ROTC. Who knows...

There were a couple there on Saturday. They looked pretty good. Cobra was there. There was two versions of him I think. One with a hood and one without. Looking really good.Saturday was the day to be there. Everything went on that day. I was there Sunday as well, but there was about 4 times the people on Saturday.
