Megadeath really existed?? I thought it was just a generic heavy metal band name that avoided infringing copyright laws.

 

OI... no knocking Metal here please Yeah Dave Mustane has injured the nerves in his arm and hand and can't play guitar anymore I know the latest stuff hasn't been that hot but they were one of the best bands of their genre in the 80's and early 90's... blimey they're dropping like flies these bands recently Emperor have split, Fear Factory....

Also all the bleeding kids wearing marilyn manson, blink 182 and linkin park tops going to watch "crossroads" (the britney flick)!

OH yeah Nu-metal bands... I DO hope they break up VERY soon and all these 8 year old kids stop wearing Slipknot hoodies!! Arrrggghhhhh... I hate that! THANK the gods Black metal isn't trendy... well Cradle of Filth are...

Blimey... I thought I was about the only metal fan posting here... Good to know there are some people here with a bit of musical taste So what kind of metal do you people like... I'm a black metal fan myself although I have a wide ranging metal music taste... my all time favourite band are called Bal-Sagoth and are from here in the UK! Check them out... I can't recommend them highly enough to you... you may love 'em or hate 'em but it's worth a quick look all the same... let me know what you think

Old metal sells...but who's buying?!

 

Only ever saw Megadeth live once... and Slayer blew them away that night.

 

Slayer are playing at the Ozzfest this year DS... I'm not going though not enough good bands for my liking...

 

Ozfest here is always in August. 105 degrees in the shade of which there is none seeing as how it always plays at an outdoor theater with no trees. Not enough cold Bud in the world to make me do that again.

Black metal? Huh. New term. I'll have to check it out. Thanks for the tip.

Gonna be awhile though. Have to get Nickleback out of my system before I head off to a new band.

 

I prefer music that doesn't make my ears bleed...

 

I like Metallica, Iron Maiden and a few others...

I prefer it to some of the crap repetitive noise that "musicians" *cough* produce these days.

At least there's lyrics and melodies...kinda

 

Oh when will the world learn? It doesn't matter if music is really, really loud or really, really quiet. It doesn't matter if its played on guitars or computers or paper and a comb. Any type of music can be bad. Any type of music can be good.

And if anyone disagrees, just think of how much you used to cringe at the stupidity when your parents came into the room and said "that's not real music".
