Meh: Bet it'll suck worse than the others. (Spoilers)

OMG: Lucas brings back the droids! Now Luke has both of those damn things. Come on Lucas show some frelling creative process here. Oh snap, you can't.

 

I don't think there's any more Lucas can do with C-3PO in the next one. First he was 'naked', then he was silver, and then gold. What next???? He'll be able to fly?

R2-D2 is always good for a laugh.

I agree, that Artoo is awesome. I'd hit it if I was a female droid. But as for Threepio I hope he gets blasted or something, that droid needs to die. now.

I'm pretty sure the droids are scrap metal by the new movies.

 

It could be explained away in a few lines:

Bail Organa: By the way whatever happened to those droids?

Captain Antilles: Oh, the one didn't take kindly to the memory wipe, and the other deactivated itself through grief.

Bail Organa: Then let us eat.

 

What's the point if the only droid that can talk can't remember anything? This is obviously just a play for the fanboys.

 

How do we know he won't remember anything if he can't talk and tell us that?

I say this will blow all the other episodes out of the water.

 

It'll say in the opening crawl (assuming there is one).

 

In the opening crawl? lol, your crazy. Whats it supposed to say? "There is civil war, the Empire fights on all fronts and oh by the way the golden droid that belongs to Captain Antilles remembers stuff despite the memory wipe!"

 

The droids are the best part of the sw universe. I can't wait to see what amazing new droid armies he comes up with to top the first three episodes

 

Oooh. Yeah. Imagine what we saw in AOTC marching up there on that ship! It'll be way more awesome than that!

 

Is he going to bring back more inconsequential minor characters back for the fanboys? What's next? Is he going to bring back those stupid walking carpets from ROTS?!

 

Oh, there's no question it'll suck. The Phantom Menace is one of the best films ever, but this tired attempt to cash in on its popularity is idiotic. Lucas should leave well enough alone.

I mean, what? Anakin's kids? Please. What a tired cliche.

God, I hope so!! Those things are cool: they remind me of Bigfoot. That's what they are: Bigfeet with laser rifles.

Maybe we'll see a battallion of them cruising the galaxy, ambushing Palpatine's forces and whatnot. Who knows?

 

I don`t see the droids returning unless Captain Antillies has a role in the movie

 

I can't believe we get the droids and NOT Jar Jar.
