Well, belated congradulations to Kelowna, the Rockets, and their fans for winning the Memorial Cup this past Sunday. I'm not a fan of the style the Rockets play and I absolutely hate the format of the Memorial Cup tournament which allows a team that was elminated in the WHL conference finals to win the CHL championship, but they played to their strength and went undefeated in the tournament (4-0).

The Kelowna team didn't have much offensive talent, but goaltender Kelly Guard had some record setting numbers during the regular season and was named the tournament MVP. He also recently signed a multi-year deal with the Ottawa Senators so he may be a name to watch for in the coming years in the NHL.

    Host Rockets win Memorial Cup
