NYCitygurl has been PMing me about making a memorial icon for Cheryl. We could use a photo of Cheryl or draw something unique. I thought anyone that wanted to have input could put it here and we can decide what we like, it's open to anyone that has an opinion on it. It needs to reflect Cheryl whatever we pick.
I spoke to Phil about designing a memorial patch. The same artwork could be used as an icon. I will be handling the patch run when it comes time.
A patch sounds interesting, but can't it only be marketed to the 501st? I'm hoping to hear from a few folks on the icon, actually though my thought is to use a pic of Cheryl in her Jedi robe and tunic for the icon. So we have two ideas already.
I'll gladly do an icon if you want me to. Just send me the pictures and I'll make some as soon as I get them.
Hey, you know that button that was made in memorial of Cheryl? (If you don't know what I'm talking about, I can link it.) What if you used that picture of the teddy-bear in the yellow coat with the words "Rest in Peace, Rebel Mom" or something to that effect on an icon?

I can easily change it to "icon style" and redo the font - It works for cafe press though - just let me know.
To answer your question Cat, NO. Anyone would be able to purchase this patch. It would be a "personal" patch or even classified as a TFF patch.

Some of us from the Cascadia Outpost group, went to Cheryl's memorial service today. It was nice and they had a slide show about her and many of her family got up and spoke. DarthBreezy (Paulie), said something for us as well. Sorry you couldn't be there.
Hey, I was just wondering if you guys have chosen a design or had any ideas about what you'd like the icon to be (if you still want one).
I still want one, Preference wise I like the idea of it being a picture of Cheryl, I have a pic in mind but I can't find it on Photo Bucket any more. I'm going to check with DarthBreezy and see if she can find it.
I haven't forgotten about this I just have not been very good about getting online for the last few months. I keep saying I am going to get better about checking in. I hope this time I do.
