Merced Lineup?

Is anyone from Merced lining up outside Mainplace? For episode II I lined up with the phoenix fan force for 2 weeks, and I'd be performing a disservice to my geekdom if I didn't lineup at least four hours in advance on opening night!

Anyone is welcome to join me!

 

I actually need to go down and talk to the managment here soon and see if they would want the 501st to come out for this event.

But I am pretty sure that there will be a line no matter what.

 

As happy as I am that Mainplace finally gets a Star Wars movie, it is too little, too late. I will once again return to Fresno's Edwards Theatre, just like I did for Episode II. I'll be in line in Fresno probably around 6-6:30pm, for the Midnight Showing.

As for Merced, I'll probably check Ep III out again during the weekend here at home.

 

Look for a possible 501st sighting in Merced, on the weekend premiere its highly possible.....

 

Crap, I keep forgetting to go down to the theater here and check in about this, might get a chance today.

 

It would be Diane's finale, perhaps we should do one after all???

im gonna be there for the midnight showing opening night and i've already recruited some to hang out with me. hopefully i can also persuade them to join fresno fan force as well....

 

We are not going to be able to do the midnight show I know that for sure, as well will be in Modesto.

Right now, Firday night looks best so far. Or Sunday during the day but who want's that.

 

I will be in Fresno for the Midnight opening, but I'll probably be at Mainplace either on Friday or Saturday for a follow-up viewing.

 

That being the case Jirin, you may see us after all... That would be cool if we can coordinate....

Yes, we are trying to iron out the details still but we look good for being in Merced on Friday night the 20th. So to recap:

The 501st is planning on being at Main Place Cinemas in downtown Merced on Friday night the 20th of May. Come meet the Stormtroopers of the Merced Detachment of the Central CA Garrison of the 501st.

More detail here when they become available.

 

Count me in to see you guys there, then. We'll see if I feel like donning the Dark Jedi robes or not.

Now, I just need to know what time you guys will be there.

 

I still think that some of our Modesto comrades should help us out, but oh well....

 

And they think we should help them out that night...

I spoke with Diane at work the past few days, and she has been pushing me to attend, as well...even if I don't have armor. She wants me to don the Dark Jedi robes for the event, to slay the lightsider scum.

 

I dont have a problem with it, Ken would be the ranking 501st person in the Merced Squad/Detachment, so..... Its pretty much his call, right???

It would be cool to have Scotts wife dressed up as the Twilek... and that new TK we just recruited....

 

Anyone and everyone are welcome to dress up or not dress up but the main pint is just comeing out to have some fun.

As far as any perks or the use of the changing room, that is 501st only.

But once again, all are welcome to come out and act the fool with us.

Seriously, if I go in costume, I'm watching the movie in costume. Why would I have it any other way?

Bur yeah, it's always easier for the Rebels as they can sit down comfortable in thier outfits and watch a moive and such. Not so true in full body plastic.
