"Don't you already HAVE 7 Snowspeeders, of which only 1 fits next to your AT-AT while the other 6 sit in a storage box?"
"Well, yes."
"Don't you already HAVE another X-Wing, of which that sits in a storage box, too?"
"Well, yes."

So...I guess...I'm not going. LOL.

I was just talking to friend last night about how when GL first made the deal for Star Wars, he took all the merchandising rights. I guess the studio people thought, "sure, who cares?". My friend was telling me how things like Star Trek and Superman would have like- one toy. Star Wars was the first thing to start making toys out of just about everything.
Genius.

 

yah, theres all kinds of info about that in the dvd appendices. Absolutely brilliant. They talk about how before starwars, movies did very little merchandising. There wasnt even an action figure available for Christmas 77...the stores sold empty boxes with pix of sw figures.

Personally, I think the vintage figures had a little bit of crack cocaine mixed into the plastic.

I think that explains the obsessive craze that overtook so many people.

I started getting an allowance when I learned to tie my shoes by myself...I saved it...like a mad hermit Scrooge...I had a little ledger...and it was all to buy figures. My parents wouldnt buy them for me at first. If they bought me toys they wanted them to be effeminate. So, I had to buy them with my own money.


So my first budget was SW based as is my latest...what a dork.

Not sure. they did it at the north side walmart last time,I think.I may have to ask around down here to see if anything will happen
