Merchant Jedi: The Raynar Thul fan topic

I like Raynar. Do you like Raynar? If so, then this is the topic for you!

Most of the stuff I remember reading about Raynar Thul is in the Young Jedi Knights series. Did you read that series?

 

Yes, I did. The only ones I haven't read are the last three, mainly because I can't find them.

As for him showing up in Post - NJO, I think there's a chance he might be back. I think Denning made his "death" ambiguous for a reason.

 

I don't know about Raynar coming back. I mean his death was sort of finalized in TUF. I was never a huge Raynar fan, and he didn't exactly get a big following. I mean i brought him back for my story, and i know FireyForce brought him back for a bunch of hers. But i don't see any of the actual Star Wars writers doing that.

Didn't Denning mention in an interview in SW Insider that we'd discover Raynar's fate in his upcoming post-NJO novels?

 

That is why I feel so sure about his return. Didn't what's-her-face say that Raynar would definitely be back in these and be a bigger player?

 

More Raynar is always a good thing.

If he is coming back (and it sounds like he is), how do all of you think Raynar survived?

 

I have no idea how he survived - or what Lomi Plo and Welk would've done with him once they all got out of YV territory. Hopefully we'll find out.

I heard that he's going to be in the post NJO books, but I don't remember where I read that. I'd really love it if he was in it thought.

 

I believe it was mentioned in a recent issue of the Star Wars Insider, but for the life of me I can't find that issue. I'm thinking I left it at home. But I'm almost positive we'll be seeing more of Raynar.

Mine is when he built his lightsaber.
