Yeah, merry Christmas everyone! My condolences to the turkeys, chickens, pigs and puddings that have had to give up their lives so we can be merry. Oh, and those strangely coloured wrapping paper trees that...

Merry Christmas everybody! Hope it is/was a great one, filled with Turkey, Roast, Chocolate and numerous wrapped gifts, along with family and friends!

Ours was spent attending the Vigil mass on Sunday which at our parish was a children's mass, where all these cute kids under 6 acted out the bits of the gospel and other readings and did the prayers of the faithful etc. Later followed by the Midnight mass which was extremely lovely with Filipino, Samoan and Italian as with English spoken during the various parts of the mass. The Samoan singers are amazing, the way their voices rise and fall, they don't even need music. In the morning we had a champagne brekkie with croissants, though juice for being on damn P plates. We then opened presents around the tree with Dad allocating us our gifts in turn. That was followed by a rather long 3 hour call to our family in Canada, where Nana has just passed away a few days ago. Then the lunch! One of my aunt's students this year owned a huge seafood company so she got all these prawns and oysters etc, huge ones. She gave the oysters to friends but my brothers enjoyed the prawns! We also got this HUGE ham from Fr Brendan for the work my Mum did with the Church this year, it will feed us for another month lol. Lots of salad and bits of turkey. No idea what dessert was as I had to leave for Heathcote where my Dad's fathers family were having Christmas. Got to meet his mother's brothers family for the first time ever. Then home about 6/7, and spent the rest of the night watching tv with Mum and our parrots Con and Mo

All in all a good relaxing family spent day.

I hope evryone had a very Merry Christmas and didn't over indulge in whatever was available. Unfortunately I did, I reckon I've put on the 5kg I lost. At least that's what it feels like!

I also wish everyone a Safe, Prosperous and Happy 2007!
