Happy Thanksgiving. In this country we say Happy Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for the giant, tasty bird my mom probably has in the oven right now.
Dave's 10th anniversary thread has reminded me how enormously fond I am of you all, so I'll be thankful for friends, both on and offline.
My son and I stayed up all night cooking, watched the sunrise, and then ate Thanksgiving breakfast. We passed out from turkey intoxication, and are now waking up for the day. My son has a cold, so we're just going to hang out at home all day, and the food only needs to be reheated. Score... super mellow day.
This is the one day a year that I eat bird... brings out the caveman in me. I think I'll go throw my couch around for a while.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you guys across the Pond! I'm thankful for my parents and my whole family. And for Chris.
Her's a post from Mortimer Snerd's Facebook wall.... "I shall be deep-frying a turkey for the first time ever in a few hours. The garden hose is standing by." Holy ****, jesus christ, omg, etc etc etc...
That doesn't sound too good. Turkey Lasanga came out perfect. Now waiting on the Redskins to carve up some Cowboy turkeys.
He might want to consider getting a bigger hose... My neighbors up the street have a turkey frying set up out in the front yard, seems like everything's going smoothly, I guess that's one thing to be thankful for today.
I am thankful for Walmart and Sears and Target for being open so I can do my shopping on this wonderful holiday instead of being with my family. I love to shop and I have no one that loves me so I will shop on the holiday because I dont care about other people except for myself. Long live baby jesus and the commercialism that sprung up for his birthday.
Well I'm thankful that I have a three day weekend, due to the way swapping shifts with co-workers has worked out for me this week. Now I've said that, I'm gonna get called in to cover on Sunday... I can feel it.
LOL, I saw that, and maybe it's because I'm Southern and we deep-fry everything that doesn't run away first, but it didn't phase me. I keep hoping he'll post how the bird turned out.
