If you have anything you need to say, ask or whatnot to either myself of Dashy, do so here.

Besides posting tasks, scores and all of that good stuff, this'll be where we communicate with you housemates.

Please explain once and for all the process for eliminating contestants. In the past, I believe, the Housemates have each nominated a couple of people, and then the JC voted to remove one of the top two or three vote getters. Is that the way it will be done this time? If not, please describe in detail the process.

    Thanks!

Each housemate will nominate two people who he/she feel she be voted out. The two people who receive the highest number of votes from the house will then be voted on by the JC and the person with highest number of votes from that will be eliminated.

On a side not, I have to say that recent poll by Rhett was hilarious. I'm at work and I actually burst out laughing when I saw that comet was in every choice.

    I have two questions

    1. Are we aloowed to PM other houseguests during the game?

    2. Are we allowed to pm people outside of the house during the game?

Nno, Comet, you can't post in other forums on TFN under a different IP. Stupid question, stupid answer.

    -- Yes.

    -- Yes.

-- I'll be as clear as possible on this: You are not to post outside of this forum in any way, shape or manner. This includes using proxying to post as a sock. If you're caught, it sucks to be you.

Minus 5 points to the shrinking violet for stealing my phrase without giving proper bibliographical notation as to its true source.

Even if we post outside the forum we only lose 5 points. There's really nothing we can do, short of breaking the TOS and being banned, that can get us kicked out of the game right?

Yes, you will PM RMC with all of your nominations/votes.

And as for someone manipulating their IP address to post outside of the forum........may God have mercy on your soul because I will catch you and I mean every word of it too. ;)

-- Correct.. except for one case (see below). Everything that I can think of that would get you kicked would be in some way breaking the TOS (serious threats, flaming someone, posting porn, etc.); Also, for each post outside of the Big Brother forum, it is 5 points off what you have (or a negative score if so be the case).

Though, if someone is posting a lot out of the Big Brother house, then they may be booted and/or replaced. For example, say someone is posting like normal outside of Big Brother and not following the game in any sort of manner -- for the sake of the game and the rest of the housemates, that isn't fair.. so why should they stay in the game? Of course, one post here or there is nearly to be expected. But daily posting in multiple threads.. that's a different story.

And that would have to be an extreme case for Dashy and myself to even think about booting someone for that reason.

But....neither of you mentioned that to me in any of the PM's we exchanged when I specifially asked you both what would constitute getting kicked out of the game.

You wouldn't be making up rules on the spot to cover your arses, would you? ;)

This is the way it is and has been from the beginning.

I will be coming down very hard on anyone who posts outside of the forum for any reason. Exceptions may be made in extreme cases such as someone needing to post something in their FF forum such as EagleI for example. It would be best to contact myself first so that something could be possibly worked out.

Otherwise, the penalty will be very heavy.

You should just kick out anyone posting outside this forum. Isn't the whole point of this game that we're all couped up here together with no escape? Doesn't it really take away from the game if that isn't enforced with an iron fist?

This isn't a reply to an unban request. Rules should be followed.

I'll be honest and admit that it wasn't something that we considered to be a big issue (in so much the fact that we didn't feel anyone would do it). We still don't think it will be, but we decided to address the issue together a day or so ago incase it were to happen. And yes, I will admit that the rules weren't exactly set in stone until a day or so ago; sorry about that.

And I do apologize about not mentioning it in those PMs; if it hadn't been brought as an issue before the game "officially" started, then it wouldn't even have been posted a moment or so ago.

So, on behalf of that, sorry.

"...the penalty will be very heavy"

I don't consider a 5 point penalty very heavy at all.
Certainly not heavy enough to keep anyone from posting outside the forum.

It's not a heavy fine, no. It's more of a fine that everyone can live with. If you post outside of the forum it won't kill your spot in the game but it won't exactly leave a message to do it again.
