I have made contact with a collector in Mexico and he said he has heard that they have found kind of a solution to the problem they had with Sacul at Celebration....

They will giveaway one figure with each 2 day pass to the convention.....about $30 for the passes and figure. Not bad

Sources in Mexico are telling me that the figurw qill possibly be a C-3PO in the likes of the Silver Anniversary TRU R2-D2 and the Toy Fair Vader....

    ....I guess time will tell

    A silver C3-P0?

Isn't that another robot? I don't recal his name, but I recall seeing a Protocal Droid that looks just like 3po, only he was silver.

Bummer if it turns out true.

How about a Silver vader with removable helmet that shows Anakin? (of course, the carded figure would need to show him with the helmet off. NOW THAT WOULD BE COOL!!

There have been a few...the most prominent being TC-14, the droid that greets Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon on the Trade Federation ship at the beginning of TPM.

TC-14 has already been made into a toy, in the later days of the EpI line.

The silver protocol droid in question I beleive appears in ESB on Cloud City. It's just before 3P0 gets blasted. Not sure of the the number though.

    K-3PO, if I'm correct.

Bah! In the same amount as the Sacul figures!

    Whoops, E-3PO. [face_blush] I think...

K-3PO was the Rebels' white protocol droid seen in Echo Base on Hoth. I don't know the name of the protocol droid on Bespin, though...

    From Rebelscum:

"An informed source reveals these tidbits of information about the exclusive figure being released at the Mexicon City collector's event this summer:

the figure will have the same run as the Jorg Sacul figure
it will be on a similar card to the silver Vader and R2
it will be a metalized figure
it will be a ROTJ character
it will be released to the rest of the world later this year

This year marks the 20th anniversary of The Return of the Jedi, which I think is worth bearing in mind when speculating which character it might be."

Great news to hear that it will be released to everyone later this year, I hope Hasbro keeps up this practice with future exclusives! :D

Sorry, I didn't mean a silver C-3PO.....but maybe a completely gold C-3PO. I would think this would be possible but the fact that a completely gold C-3PO would be so close to a regular C-3PO that it might not work.

How about a silver Han in Carbonite? or even better....bronze plated?

Friends of mine also thought of a Luke Jedi, Wicket or Empreor...but I think those would be lame

My guess is the Mexican convention will be your first shot at it, then the leftover stock will be a fan club exclusive.

Good, because I want my metalized Wicket! ;)

POTF2.COM is saying that this is going to be a ROTJ Boba Fett figure, and they also say that Silver Clone Trooper might be released later this year! :)

Speaking of the fan club.... I have never joined... decided that I wanted to but now I'm a bit skeptical... it's been resold like 2-3 times... does anyone here have any experience with the current owners?

I have been subscribing and a member for just over 6 years now and have never missed an issue. I've read under 3 different publishers, and I'll have to say that the last two (Wizards of the Coast and now Paizo) have been the best. Paizo tops WotC slightly because they've brought back "Bantha Tracks", but otherwise, it's been great with both of them! :)

Umm...just a thought, isn't a silver Boba going to look a lot like Jango?

    I still want a metalized Wicket. :(

exclusives tend to irritate me more than excite me. i belive that the toys should be made available with very few exceptions to EVERYONE who wants one. and by that i mena those who can't borrow millions and hit EBAY.
