Michael Stackpole in Denver

I was browsing the list of cons off tf.n and noticed one listed for Denver in April that wasn't Starfest. Curious, I looked to see what it was, and found that the writer GoH will be Michael Stackpole.

I don't think I can make it (not at the rate that my costume is going - just ask SC! ) but in case any of the rest of you are interested, info on the con can be found at theforce.net con page, 4th entry down. It's Opus: A Fantasy Arts Festival, and is April 18-20.

 

They sent a thing to the Department of Art here asking for artwork... and they would waive the fee for students here as well... I believe I have the address for their webpage, but it's on my computer and it's broken right now

I will do what I can. I dont think it should be a problem, depending on if there is a limit to how many books you can have signed.

 

You are so right. When R.A. Salvatore signed our book, he signed a bunch for this one guy.

 

What day(s) is Mike gonna be there? Starting this Weds I have weekends off and so could potentially go. I'd love to see him again, though I know he won't remember me. -=shrug=-

BTW, I have no idea where my corny mood has come from. I've just started spouting all kinds of stomach churning corn today.

 

I just checked the Stackpole website & he has instructions on how to get a book signed if you cant make it to a convention. send self addressed envelope, etc. etc. but that makes me feel a little better about skipping out on Opus con.

Yes. He has a spot on his site for just that. He gives a PO box & instructions. He asks you to be patient, since he doesnt check it too often, but Im gonna do it. If I can get him & Stover to sign their books, I'll be very happy.


Has anyone read any of Stackpoles non-Star Wars books? I bought one & started it, but then traitor came out....

It started out good though. the dark glory war. I bought part 2 & part 3 just came out, so Im gonna get it & read them all. Th emain character is very "Corran Horn" . Its kinda weird.
But cool.
