imagine my excitement to discover, by quite an accident, the latest advert for the new 'Lord of the Rings' release! in case anyone missed it, here's what the 'Future Shop' flyer screams: Nov.12.2002: 4 DVD, $38 Extended Edition features 30 additional minutes in film, four audio commentaries and much more! 5 DVD, $78 Extended Edition Gift Set (news to me!) including 'collectible Argonath' polystone figures, Exclusive Decipher trading cards and additional featurette footage and photo' after all this, I'm thinkin' a gathering is in order...

Any updates on prices from Blockbuster Darth_Haggis? On both this one and the AotC DVD. Was looking on Amazon.ca last night, and they were selling the combo in Widescreen for $106 Canadian. But I would much rather buy them from a store, so I have them in my hands that day as opposed to waiting 3 or 4 days for them. Indy
For the Lord of the Rings 5 Disc collector's set, I can get it for about $60+tax, or the 4 disc for about $32+tax. For AOTC, it would be $19-$20+tax. (And then you have to factor in the wait until I can get it to you...) Also, if you can get me a flyer with the cheapest price in town listed in it, Blockbuster will pricematch. (and then I get 20% off of that price). I must say though, the extended scene on the LOTR are pretty impressive and so is the 2nd disc of AOTC. All of the special features are amazing!

I got impatient... I went out and got my WideScreen copy of the LOTR... full 5 disk box set... I couldn't resist... Indy (Still gotta get the AotC DVD, so I may beg you for that favor Darth_Haggis unless I buy it at Safeway for 23 bucks)
