Middlesbrough Music Live - Sunday 18th June

A bit short notice but this Sunday is the annual Music Live in Middlesbrough

The gist of the day is live music from 12pm till 10.30pm on 12 stages throughout Middlesbrough Town Centre (all free) with loads of new upcoming bands, as well as a few you may of heard of. This years headliners are Ocean Colour Scene who I have seen live & they are excellent

Alcohol is permitted at the main stage (the grassy bank outside the Law Court) but no bottles. It's been a really laid back fun atmosphere over the years & hopefully this Sunday will be no exception !!

Hope to see a few people there (I'll be the one surrounded by beer cans )

However, I have seen that getting to Middlesbrough isn't as hard as I thought, so I may give it a go at some point, probs when Leigh is back 'cos she'd probably kick me if I did it before

I spent yestoday walking around town while everyone was whatching England play
It was like walking in a Ghost town everywhere was dead apart from the screams of YYYEEESSSS when the goal was made .

Bit short notice for me matey im having a BBQ with my partner so wont be able to make it .

 

Tempting mate - will txt you if we get across...bands to see...

Marked For Death (because they are my mates and do rad Anthrax cover versions!)

Ocean Colour Scene (because they were great in their hayday...)

Well it was quite a good day - despite the rain

Saw some good bands, Morning Runner should go onto bigger things (you heard it hear 1st) and Ocean Colour Scene played a fantastic set

and I was called/told I looked like Obi Wan/Ewan no less than 15 times (yes I was counting) and that was without the robes !!

 

just remember who your agent is Spike when the work offers come in.

I will still take my management cut.

 

Get a kilt and make sure to speak in a scottish voice (Ewan Ewan )

 

I was at the Skindred gig at the Town Hall.

Didn't see anyone

 

the queue was too long for the Town Hall* (plus it looked like it was full of kids)

were they any good ??













* and I don't think they would of welcomed our crate of Carling !!

 

Skindred rocked the hall as usual.

And a lot of the kids got thrown out pretty much as soon as they came in. The cops were ejecting anyone who looked drunk.

 

So that was half of Teesside out then !
