    Hi All

Noobie here, signing on from Wednesbury.

I've been reading TFN for a few months now, and never realised we had a midlands chapter.

I'm a massive fan (as we all are!), and currently desperately in love with my new MR Maul, and plan to get MR Mace this weekend.

My collection is starting to grow now, major toy shop with backwards letter in name(not sure if we can use the name, advertising) is starting to carry the line now, with Mace being the most recent edition instore.

Drives the other half round the bend! but a true Jedi needs an elegant weapon in this civilised age.

    Hope I don't seem too nerdy [face_blush]

LOL, i'm amongst friends then, thats good.

I'm going to renew my hyperspace subscription next week, so I can start blogging, it's the latest thing so I hear. what with the blogs and youtube, there doesn't seem much time for anything else, and I could do with a partner for saber practice. There is only so much my 9 year old can put up with, and his aim is sometimes off to say the least.

    Did you say sabers?

I have the FX Luke, FX Vader, FX Mace, and FX Anakin.

Plan on getting more... but the Mara replica (non FX) is pre-sold out, so will have to wait for Ebay.

And as for the other FX sabers, oh, they will be mine... they will be...

and just to note, I had these long before CE ;)

Ah, FX Anakin, how many blisters have you caused me?o_O That one is a great blade though, really bright.

I've still got my eye on Obi, but the Mace is more tempting at the mo, how bright is it compared to Anakin?

My Maul(s) seem to go through batteries a lot faster than my ROTS, is that typical of the AAA's? or have I got a couple of duds? I quite fancy doing a plecter or a dynablade upgrade but not keen on taking them to bits.(yet!)

I've done up a picture for you of the lightsabers.

    ;)

    [image=http://swff.bpweb.net/images/forumextras/lowlight.jpg]

They are all different regarding batteries. Some take four, others six, I do know that Mace died first, but then it was the first lightsaber we bought.

Loved it 4nak1n1138, I had to go alone since my friends are not that big a bunch of geeks about Star Wars, no taste the lot of them. :D

Best bit was being on the Tantive IV recreation, worst bit not being able to get a copy of it :-|

Sorry you had to miss it because of work, why does the unimportant bits of life have to conflict with the really important things. I wont be at County Hall due to work. When I win the Lottery....

    Thanks for the welcome Rebeljediknight-88

Great guys, nice to see a bit of activity, again work has interfered with posting this last couple of days, and now it's late on sataurday, where does the time go.

Nice saber display that, redgold, working on the same myself, but I've heard that the blades will warp if they are horizontal for any great length of time, so i'm going for the next best thing, www.saber-stand.com. That said, mine don't seem to be on the wall all that often, lol.

Rebel, how cool was that bridge sequence, thank the force for youtube.

Messing about tonight, Maul went for an unassisted flight across the garden, but seems OK, and I've finally cracked Anakins behind the back twirl without taking my knees off! all I have to do now is try it with my left hand. What I will do with these skills, who knows, but it does feel great.

    Am I the nerdiest yet?

    Pete
