anyone going to the mall for the midnight force unleashed release?
picked up the game last night and my limmited figure. Very cool game. on the ps2 version you start off playing as vader.
Sure looks like a great figure. They didn't have a midnight sale here in Concord... and that sucks
too bad. maybe they will turn up some place else for sale or a give away.
I went to rent TFU tonight, figuring I'd get a little game play in. But noooooooooo.... both copies they had in WERE DAMAGED!! I took the first one back, got another and that wouldn't play either. Looks like one may have been a bad burn and the other actually had a chip missing from the disk. WTF?? They were just released today!
On an up note, at least I got my money back and a credit for a future rental... perhaps I'll try again next week...
DO you live close to berwick? Maybe I could bring my copy over to you?
Nah, I live in Concord and have a XBOX 360. Thanks anyway though!
I received my Wii copy of TFU in the mail this week. Amanda pre-ordered it from Wal Mart as an anniversary present. I got to play some with my son - the lightsaber dueling mode on the Wii is great. You can choose different characters and locations to duel with the lightsabers and the using the Force. I played the story mode some too. The tutorials are good and so is the accompanying background info on the characters. Seems like the droid PROXY has a prime directive to try to kill "Starkiller", a.k.a. the secret apprentice, any chance he gets! THe graphics are good, too, as are the realism of using the Force to manipulate objects. Not much realistic gore when inflicting wounds with the lightsaber. Maybe we could set up a TFU lightsaber tournament at a future meeting at our house if anyone is interested.
sounds good to me. were do ya live.
I beat Force Unleashed in 5 days. I got it for the Xbox 360. I loved every moment of it! The boss fights were kind of repetitious and I spent most of my time using Fore Repulse/Grip or throwing my saber at my foes. I never once grappled a single foe. But throwing stuff around was my favorite thing to do!
While the fights were fun, the story was the strongest part of the game.
If you haven't played it yet, I strongly suggest you do. This is a strong game and is probably the best supporting game to any movie franchise ever.
Just started the game last night for the Wii. Awesome! Tuesday and I had a blast in dueling mode, even thought she beat me most times just by randomly pushing buttons and flinging the controllers around...
I don't have more then 30 minutes here or there for this game but I am loving it. Way cool game!!!
I rented the game last week and I feel compelled to give you my 2 cents of the game...
Overall, this game has renewed and strengthened my love for Star Wars. The story was nothing short of fantastic. In fact, I can't say enough great things about the story. The character development was something I had not seen since the Original Trilogy. The game play, which some times admittedly was repetative (especially on Feliucia (sp?)) was out of this world. Where else can you fling stormtroopers against AT-ST's, slay rancors, have crazy lightsaber battles and have a hot blond Imperial pilot? No where!
Oh, and let's not forget the downloadable content that's coming up where they are adding characters you can play as (Luke, Ki Adi Mundi, Kit Fisto (I know Pete is squealing somewhere) in the game, and another level on Coruscant where Starkiller goes to the Jedi temple to find out about his father. Awesome!!
I hadn't heard about the downloadable content! Kit Fisto? SQUEAL!
Awesome screenshots of Luke and Kit! CANNOT wait for this!
Best line so far in The Force Unleashed (and I'm not that far into it yet):
PROXY: I hate being him.
APPRENTICE: I think he does too.
I agree. The game is done so well. It has good action and a reason to chuckle every now and then.
Played a bit the other night....was suprised to see a few familiar faces in the storyline....won't say much so I don't spoil anything.
I finished the Wii version last week (when I should have been doing homework!) I thought the ending was okay but predictable. I wonder how or if Rahm Kota and Juno Eclipse will be worked into the SW universe for future story lines.
Its nice that I can go back to the beginning to start the game over and still keep my same powers. I want to try the other ending next time.
I have the codes to play as any star wars charcter if anyone wants them.
Do you have codes for the Wii version?
Please post the codes you have!! I'd love to try out some other players. That would be cool. Thanks!
Also did anyone out there besides Pete get the Exc. figure from Gamestop the night the game came out? I have heard that some stores that open had a couple left over pieces that they were selling. But I have yet to find one. If anyone know were one is or has one they would like to move. Please let me know. I am in need of it. I'm sure we can work something out.
