What is happening this year is we can't afford our apartment. The lease runs out in May so we are letting it go and moving in with my parents for the summer and finding someplace new to live in August. Hopefully closer to school and cheaper.

Yeah, I figured that swanky pad was mucho expensivo. Good luck. Maybe J and Grace can help out.

I won't be done with my masters until spring 06.

That's what I thought, but the "done with school" thing threw me.

And hey Joe, you'll only be friends if someone can promise to live here for the rest of their life?

Nah, not the rest of their life. Just more than 8 months from the time we meet :p

I guess my decision will weigh somewhat on what is planned, but it will probably have more to do with family plans as my family in LR are pretty big fans but will probably not be up for a drive to Memphis for it.

Well, you just lay down the law and tell them what's what. You got that?

    -Joe

There is a screening of Episode 3 here (in GA)on May 12th. And there will be an after party and I'm guessing the tickets are alot because the money goes to charity.

It would be cool to be able to arrange a charity showing. Of course, if ticket prices ended up as high as the other charity showings that are posted, most of us wouldn't be able to go. The Miami charity preview is at $1000 and $500 per ticket. While I know that it would be for a good cause, it's a little out of my price range.

Been thinking about it. I don't care what the weather's like- I'm going all out for this one since I'll never ever get to do it again. I'll be there in costume.

If the theater that I work at gets it, then I will probably go see it the night before it comes out. We have sneak previews of every movie we get. If not, I may hook up with the Atlanta Stars Wars Fanforce, they seem like they may be pretty cool.

I'm all for costuming. It's kinda like going to a KISS concert and not wearing the make-up. Count me in! I wonder if I should wear the KISS make up..?

Malco finally sent me a crappy email:

    Hi Tim-

Thanks for your interest in Malco Theatres! Star Wars show schedules are not yet finalized and additional information will be released in a few weeks. Rest assured there will be midnite showings, but locations are still being planned.

Thanks again for inquiring and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Yep. That was chocked full of helpful information.

Feel free to call her if you have any questions. :p

I just heard back from Tommy Davis, the promotions director at 94.1 The Buzz. He's trying to coordinate with Malco right now on several showings, including a possible early screening. He wants to involve us as much as possible, noting that this would be our time to shine in front of a lot of die-hard fans.

As of now, Malco is not sure if 94.1 will get to host the midnight showing. He's also working with them on a 9:30 am showing on Friday, May 20th. His goal is to get us out there in costume for these things, and he asked me to find out just who here is willing to do events in costume. He also needs to know what dates and times are cool with our group.

Wish the Pink Palace would show it on the IMAX! That would be a cool place to do a charity showing. They've got party rooms in front of the theater.

They'll show a film about friggin NASCAR, but they won't show Star Wars.

    Yeah, that makes sense.

The last IMAX I saw at the Pink Palace was about the monkeys of Madagascar. What a yawner. Somewhere I heard the PP IMAX couldn't handle SW for some reason.

There was some issue with scheduling, and one other technical issue that I can't remember. I tried to talk them into showing it a while back. No luck, as usual.

Scheduling. Ahh, because the Ants of Paraguay would definately pull in more $$ than SW.
