I mean we're smarter on average than any earlier generation, we have the internet, we have more (in theory) free time to enjoy our lives, we have cars that drive themselves, we're richer, more democratic(for better or worse), more socialist(for better or worse), and we're less violent (meaning less people die in armed resistance related incidents around the world)than our WWI and WWII brethren and all the generations before us.

We have created a number of problems for ourselves, but I personally think the main reason we have some of these problems are because the older generations (DAMN BABY BOOMERS) are holding us down with their unsolved problems.

By millenials... I'm meaning anyone born after 1982. I think if we're not the best, we're definitely the most significant in mankind's history (Except for the bottleneck... those fools were amazing)

I mean come on though, how controversial can this be? It's obvious.

This really doesn't matter, but I really dislike being lumped into the 'millenial' generational category (I'm sure common wisdom dictates the folks born around my time, '85-'90, that). Yeah, sure, I came of age post-puberty right at the end of the 90's/the beginning of the 2000's, but I'm still a 90's child. Memories of VHS/VCR's (hell, even Laserdisc stores), using cassette tapes, phone books, Blockbuster, etc, are plentiful. A true millenial knows not of those things; a person born in the mid-to late 90's are true millenials... at least, that's they way I feel about it.

who the **** cares. i know awesome grandparents, fun parents and totally lame young people. i'm guessing you fall into the latter category.

there's no one generation that's great. just a bunch of ****ty people with a few good ones in between, in all ages.

Its more of generational thing so..... generally its a 20-25 year thing. You have the world war 2 guys, then the baby boomers, and then it gets kind of muddy because the baby boomers had sex randomly over like a 40 year time span, so you had people being born in the 90s with like 50 year old parents. Millenials are normally viewed in 3 ways: from 1975 and on, people who were 18 and under by the year 2000, or if your parents were baby boomers, but as I said already that throws everyone off. And millenial doesn't mean that you only enjoyed things post 2000.lol. I see it like this: All the things you mentioned are my memories as well, but I'm sure that you got me by a couple of years, but because our childhood memories can culturally reference the same things in a first person POV, we're both millenials.

Speaking of which, I just realized that soon children will no longer understand my Fresh Prince of bel-air references.:(

    "Peak?"

In any case, I appreciate that the post notes that most people are unworthy. Instead, there is a small circle of honorable, and within this circle a smaller circle of those who are willing to act.

Unless you come into contact with children who were raised right.

Darth Guy It's best that you don't delve into its origin... either roll with it when it comes up, or make snide comments concerning it.

I feel the same. I was born in '81 and I don't know where I belong. I'm not a Gen Xer and I'm not a Millennial. Wasn't there a Generation Y once upon a time? Or did that get renamed Millennial?

I really resent being associated with the kids born in the 1990's and beyond. They lack any skill in human interaction, cannot count change and your music is terrible. I'm not old, you just suck at music. I really fear for when they get older, they will probably bring on a cultural dark age of human stupidity and bad pop culture.

Darth-Lando I think the re-naming took place; on an unrelated note, I always kind-of-wish that I was born in '76, not '86. :p
