Number in attendance: 23 (WOW!!!)

Costuming: We will be posting our Rules & Charter on our FB group, but they are also on the FanForce Site. We reiterated that we are a fan group, not a costuming group – but, when we are invited to costuming events, anyone trooping in costume must be approved by 501st, Rebel Legion, Mando Mercs, Galactic Academy. We are licensed by Lucas Film (adopted by Disney), and with these public events, we are required to meet this official standards. We will also be posting links to the 501st, RL, MM and other websites to help you with designing using their standards. We also have a LOT of talented and knowledgeable members that can help you on your path to SW Costuming J For those not “officially costumed” yet, there is always a need for handlers/security/photographers with these invited events .



Future TA Events

General Tips for HOT summer events – Take Shifts!! Take Breaks!! Drink Water!!

Ø Car Show – July 7 10-3, Bayside Harley Davidson

Ø NEW: MacArthur Mall Barnes & Noble Author Event: Ian Dosher “Shakespeare Star Wars” – Rick to confirm tomorrow. Will be 7-10pm (show up around 6:10 – after 6p, parking is only $2)

Ø Beach Street USA – Dates: July 13; Jul 20; Jul 27; Aug 10; Aug 24. Is from 7:30-9:30pm in front of yogurt shop. Ed is head security J PLEASE RSVP the WEDNESDAY (by 4p) prior to the date you are trooping to ensure we have enough staff to properly attend/secure us.

Ø Zoo Blood Drive – July 28; Costumed folk typically get in to zoo for free; you CAN donate in your armor, but with no helmets

Ø Geeks Night of Comedy – Funny Bone; Jul 31, meet in Armada Hoffler Parking lot, top floor with a ceiling, South Deck. We will be out front of FB from 6-7:30 to take pics with fans. Rick has 4 free tickets for costumed TA members, first come first serve. Tickets for event are $15, well worth it! We will

Ø Fantasci – Aug 3: We have FOUR tables for display/TA, we will have a schedule for manning the table AT fantasci, come, bring your bragging stuff and sign up to man the table for a bit J

Ø Untamed Spirit Race – Virginia Aviation Museum Nov 23 – Still on for now, they will let us know if its cancelled due to the selling of the planes and such

Ø Regal Star Wars Premier 2015 – MacARthur Mall – There may be an X-Wing!!!

Ø ROFCon – Bernie came to formally invite our group to participate. This will be Feb 28-Mar 2 at Holiday Inn Executive, the goal is to create a Dragon-Con like con locally. This will be the first year. Any of our group that show up in costume and help out gets a free badge. We could have a group table, do a talk, etc. They are also planning a picnic day at KOA – details to come. If you are interested in serving as staff for the con, they hold monthly meetings at the hotel, third Sunday of the month, 5pm.



TA Shirts – If you have Design ideas, please send pics to Chris or John. If we have lots of ideas, we can vote for the best. Sounds like we have connections for embroidery (polo shirts) or silk screening J



TA Picnic – Will be in the Fall, when its cooler. Likely at Red Wing Park. We can also take group pics then – both in costume and in SW /TA Shirts



Dues – Don’t forget, $5 per family per year. Thank you!!
