Once again I have dragged my butt along and finally caught up to with this. I am such a sad case. Anywho. I love this story! I can't wait for the rest of it. I hope you are still planning on finishing it!

Wow. I just finished your story and that's all I have to say. This was just so good- all of it was simply amazing. I'm in awe of this, really. And, most of all... PLEASE CONTINUE!!! It would be a real shame for you to have dropped this, because it's simply wonderful. Just the mushiness and the K/J of it all...

Yeah, I just reread the entire thing again (and cried again) and realized just how much I miss her writing. She's on my top five list of favorite boards writers ever. But I have faith she'll return someday!

 

Awww, thanks for the ups, you guys! I really do exist still, I swear, but congrats to me, I've hit senior year. Which means class overload, working on my (gulp) thesis, taking the GRE, and applying to grad schools... on top of judo and work, which take up all of my spare time!


But to reassure you, I do have plans to finish this story. I know exactly what happens, how it ends, and how much more we've got left to go (which, sadly, isn't all that much!). We're over 2/3 done with the story, but I don't want to sit down and just crank the rest out as fast as I can; I want to be able to sit down and enjoy writing it like I did the parts I've posted. I love the idea of this story and want to do it justice, and currently, I just don't have enough time to do so.

However, the good news is that as of next week, I'm cutting out a day of judo practice and a day of work, which will give me one free day a week to work on keeping myself up to date with classes, GREs, and grad schools... which means free time can't be that far behind. Right? RIGHT? ::Saber looks around hysterically:: Free time would be nice.

Anyways, I do miss posting stories and on Miracle, and I do have plans to finish what I've started and then start more. I'm really sorry for the long delay, but hopefully it's going to start getting shorter soon.

Hey, take your time, I'm just glad to know you're still around. Even just being a freshman is stressful enough; I can only imagine how much senior year is sucking out of you. Just thought I'd mention that this story is awesome. I started reading it on a whim, and K/J's not my favorite pairing, even though I love both separately, but it ended up eating hours of my life, while I read it from start to finish! Great job; all your characters are great.

 

This story was mentioned in Dana's Kyp amnesia story thread, so I just had to come check it out.

I just finished reading all of the story you've written so far. Took me two days. Really is an amazing story you have here. I love how you cover so much of the characters's thoughts.

 

I actually read this a while back while checking out the K/J Index. That was before I joined the Boards and decided to write the story I had swimming around head for awhile and posting it.

Just wanted you to know. I really like this story and can't wait until you are able to finish it.

Er, so yeah, the evil semester is definitely over. And because I didn't want to come back to this to just post and then have to abandon it again for such a long hiatus, I have been absolutely dreadful about updating this. It's been almost a year since I last updated, and nearly two years since this story was started!

Anyways, thank you all for sticking with me during such a long break. I'm so sorry about being gone for so long! Rest assured, I love you all still, and thank you so much for all the comments. It meant a lot to get comments even when I didn't have time to devote to my writing... and I'd especially like to say hi to Flowerlady, princess_of_naboo, SakuraTsukikage, Lady_Jade, Siaynoqsbride, Sethathoryunet, BottledUpInside and princess_melissa, because you guys found this story during the long break and still stuck around to encourage me to finish it. Also, to dj, you simply rock. I reread your MST, and it made me get up off my rear and rework this post. And of course, Dana, this really wouldn't have even started without you. Hope this helps make up for you bad day earlier this week.

Also, I hope to have more time to update this, and my goal is to have this fic finished before May 2006 when I graduate. Besides, I have more fic ideas, and want to have this fic done before I start another long one!!

Tahiri rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet, unable to stand completely still. Below them, Anas spun slowly in space, a blue and white ball of water and clouds and a few green continents. Their Republic escorts had joined up with them an hour ago, and now flew sedately beside the transports, pacing them through the system on the home stretch to the planet. Everything looked calm and peaceful.

And everything was going according to her plans, which was why she was having a hard time staying still. She was jittery with excitement and anticipation, and this was the only way she dared to show it. She?d spoken with Jacen about an hour ago, and he?d confirmed that everything was ready on the groundside end. There was nothing left for Tahiri to do but wait.

?What are you so excited about??

Tahiri started guiltily, and turned to look at Jaina. The older woman was leaning against a bulkhead, arms crossed and wry amused smile firmly in place. ?Seeing everyone again,? Tahiri managed, with only a small pause to collect her thoughts. ?It?s been years.?

?Right,? Jaina agreed, pushing herself away from the wall and uncrossing her arms. She came to stand beside Tahiri, looking down at Anas. ?And I?m sure that?s true, but what?s the real reason??

Tahiri grinned. ?Not telling.?

Jaina glanced sideways at her. ?Does it involve a certain pilot that still salutes his uncle??

She laughed. ?Maybe,? she drawled, knowing that if she allowed Jaina to believe that it was Jag that she would become diverted. ?I?m just in a good mood. You should be used to those by now.?

Jaina did laugh, and Tahiri was amused by how much it sounded like a giggle. ?Don?t remind me. I woke up this morning and went, four more days, and sat there just grinning like an idiot.?

She sounded happy; Tahiri reached out and hooked her arm through Jaina?s. ?No typical bridal attack of nerves yet??

At that, Jaina threw back her head and laughed, truly laughed. ?Tahiri, I had the biggest attack of nerves when I woke up in the medcenter. I don?t think anything else will ever compare to that.? She laughed again. ?Force, that was such a frightening moment. No, I don?t think I?ll get an attack of nerves, as you put it.?

Tahiri knew that she was smiling too much, but she couldn?t seem to stop. ?That?s good. That?s just ? that?s good.?

?So what are you planning that?s put you in such a bouncy mood?? Jaina asked.

?Well, once we land ?? Tahiri cut herself off, and stared at Jaina. ?Oh, you?re good, Ve-Harla.?

Jaina?s smile was now predatory. ?That was pretty easy, Tahiri. You?re going to have to learn to watch yourself a bit better than that.?

Tahiri rolled her eyes.

?So what?s happening once we land??

Tahiri opened her mouth, glanced at Jaina, and deliberately clicked it shut without saying a word.

Jaina simply laughed again, and then tugged on their attached arms. ?Come on, little sister. Whatever it is, it?s time. The transport?s leaving soon, and I was sent to fetch you.?

?Tahiri?s plotting something,? Jaina informed Kyp as the transport shuddered up into the air.

The blonde glared at her, stuck out her tongue, and then turned up her nose with a little ?humph!? of feigned indifference.

?I thought we knew that,? Kyp said, amused.

?Hey!?

?We did,? Jaina agreed. ?But now we know she?s plotting something for when we land. So be careful? there could be lizard monkeys, banthas, Arcathian kovash birds...?

?Hey!? Tahiri protested. ?I?d never use Arcathian kovash birds.?

Kyp glanced over at Tahiri, and then back at Jaina, and then back to Tahiri, with an expression that suggested he was going to sorely regret his next question. ?Dare I ask what you have against Arcathian kovash birds??

Tahiri wrinkled her nose, and as the transport began its descent through the atmosphere, she said, ?Their feathers. Honestly. Blue feathers? Som
