Saga Miss Independent -H/L songfic

Leia and Han songfic. I just came up with this while in the car.

Princess Leia Organa watched everything from a distance. She didn't need help. She didn't want it. She did all her own. She watched others socialize and flirt. She didn't have time for such things. She didn't want to be hurt anymore.

Han Solo draped an arm around her shoulders, "Come on, Princess, join the party!"

"Why are you here?" she demanded, stepping away from him.

"Hey, the Kid wouldn't have done it without me," he responded.

"You got your money and your thanks," she spat back.

"Maybe I will leave," he argued, "but you'll miss your chance."

Leia narrowed her eyes as Han left. The nerve of that man!

So, by keeping her heart protected
She'd never ever feel rejected
Little miss apprehensive
Said ooh, she fell in love

Han and Luke were out alone on Hoth. Leia stared at the doors, praying they would come through them. Luke would be okay. He had to be. Han went after him and now he was gone.

Leia found her mind on the smuggler again. For the past three years they had bickered. She wanted to hate him so badly, but couldn't. There was just something about him.

What happened to Miss Independent?
No longer needs to be defensive
Goodbye on you
Real love is true

Miss guided heart
Miss play it smart
Miss if you want to use that line you better not start, no
But she miscalculated
She didn't want to end up jaded
And this miss decided not to miss out on true love

So, by changing her misconceptions
She went in a new direction
And found inside she felt a connection
She fell in love.

He had opened the gates. That kiss had awakened Leia. She knew it was right, though it seemed so wrong. A Princess and a smugger?

Leia watched him work on the Falcon, admiring the view from the back. They were on their way to Bespin now. He had kissed her, and she kissed back. That one on the cheek told him she felt it too. She was falling for him.

He was being taken away from her! Leia watched in horror as Chewie thrashed about. She saw Han speak to him. She stood next to the wookie, staring at Han, eyes pleading that this was a dream. They had just found what they had! It couldn't end now!

His lips crashed down on hers. He was pulled away from her. She had to tell him! He could die! He had to know!

"I love you!"

Hey, just saw this! And I didn't realize it until you wrote it, but Miss Independent is the perfect song for Leia. You did an awesome job pulling it all together. Very well done!

My sister is always playing Kelly Clarkson, and now I can think of Leia when Miss Independent comes on. It really is the Leia song!

Great song choice for Leia. I've heard the song many times, but never been able to make out all of the lyrics, so it is nice to finally know what they all are. The song really does chronicle Leia's relationship with Han. Kelly Clarkson rocks!

One last up.

 

Never have heard the song, but it fits perfectly!!! I love the ending, where she's praying he remembers--and he does. Yes, that's one of my fav scenes in ROTJ, where she reveals herself to Han. It's sweet, although they do get captured right after it, but oh well.

 

Laine_Snowtrekker I always loved that scene. My fav Han/Leia moment is the carbonite scene. Yup, they are good at getting captured. Thanks!
