Mission: Paintball

Just watchin this on TV and was thinking, Who would be interested in this as a possible meet? Say next summer in the hope of decent weather and also the chance for ppl in all areas to save up and come.

I've been myself a couple of times and loved it, but its better with bigger groups.

 

Also, any other ideas for a complete FFUK meet would be great, after the first north one i really wanna meet you all.

 

I did start a thread on this ages ago, with these ideas:

5 aside tourney
Lightsabre dueling tourney (sparring with sabres)

But yeah, I'd be up for some paintball pwnage

Paintballing scares me...I have horrible memories of Ant and Dec

I'm too big for them

 

Yea, ive had that problem before, my legs are too long, i end up with my chin on my knees!

So it would be easier for everyone if its paintballing!

 

Oh yes I love paintballing! If we did go which one would it be? There is one close to my area.

 

Go karting is too expensive for what it is but paintballing is a definate goer.


Someplace in the midlands would be best as it's easy for all to get to it then

 

Well, getting to the Midlands from London is not easy, or cheap

 

Any one in the middlands area know of any good places?

 

HELL YEAH! I bet some people would be like this guy: PM me for a link...it may not be TOS friendly, he swears once or twice!

 

If it's the Midlands, Bassetts Pole would be best. And that would be perfect for me as its about 2 miles away.

 

bassetts pole would be cool. just not sure of prices, it`s been a while since i went paintballing.

This is true however it is easier for the majority of people to get to the middle of the country than it is for them all to get to somewhere in the south.

It is also easy to get to Birmingham by train from london and I'm sure transport can be arranged from there with people on the boards.

I know if I can make it I'll be offering to run people from Manchester down.


Cost wise. If this is organised far enough in advance then you can pre book rail tickets which makes things much cheaper.

And thought they havn't posted on the subject i assume that Jairen will be in on a total FFUK meet, and since Suzy has to keep up apperarances with her sibling rivalry she has to come to .

I know cost is an issue for a lot of us, but if we start saving now until next summer we shouldn't have problems and i think a location in the middle of the country is farest travel wise.

 

I agree completely.


I think if we were to aim for sometime in July as that will give us all 9 months to prepare, ensure we can get time off (if we work) and save up for the event.

I think this is something that can be done over one day but if anyone wanted to push it to two they could do.

If we aim for July as well the weather will be good enough for those who want to camp as an accomodation idea can do so (I know we've suggested a camping trip as a Northern meet).


What do we think?

 

I think this is a great idea, especially the camping, as some people will want to do a 2 day event, but wouldnt be able to afford a hotel, so camping would be perfect!

 

Now that i like, I'll see if i can find any venues with camping facilities near by.
