MS Update Mod Squad Update for November 26

An assist to Dark Lady Mara for compiling the various events for me .

Just as well someone was promoted to run the CT forum for her a few weeks back.

if by 'quiet' you mean 'empty', you're all set.

We're working on that now, DA. I'm certainly not taking over primary responsibility for SWC.

Nah, it's not a bad forum; it just needs a mod who could dedicate the time to develop the community and rein in some of the extraneous issues. I'm just a part-timer there, and can't fill the role of a primary mod.

The British Fan Force is full of spam, cos that's what we Brits like doing. Does this mean we'll all be banned?

That's what happens when a certain member of the FF staff makes her opinions very well known to the JC staff.

I've never gotten a FF member off a banning, nor has my RSA gotten anyone off a banning.

If you're going to talk in code, could you link us to threads where this happens?

 

I'm with anakins_girl. I only deal with the infractions my members make on my boards. I've stuck up for someone when the situation was very personal and stickey, but if they do something outside the FF, I don't care it's their own stupid fault.

 

Considering how long DA was a mod, I'm sure he knows what he's talking about. YOU may not have done it, but that doesn't mean others haven't, considering the large amount of CRs on the boards.

As QS said its hardly that bad a forum. Looks like whoever takes over there will have a fun job, perfect platform to continue to expand the existing community and deal with the problems that do come up there. If you ask me anyway.

ousley: I know DA was a mod for a long time. However, making a blanket statement about CRs and RSAs, and the FF in general, and bringing out into the open what should probably be a private matter which may or may not have happened a long time in the past, was rather rude.

She hasn't stepped down. She's just taking a break for a little bit.

 

I never stepped down either. I took a break but had some rule enforced on me when I returned that wasn't there before my break.

 

of course I feel bitter, after all the time and effort I put into this place in the pastr only to be told I was no longer welcome in more or less words.

 

Ah, but Mara's break is likely to be a short period of time.
