Always. The updates are meant to be helpful. Oftentimes it leads to spamming, flaming, and trolling. We must be cautious.

 

Nice update. Most of us actually do appreciate these things for what they are rather than as a possible source for "teh drama."

Also, I'd like to propose that anyone using the words "teh" and "drama" in the same post be banned for a week.

Effective after this post, naturally.

Kadue announced that he'd changed the name of the "Welcome Jedi Younglings" forum back to "Welcome New Users" by popular request. A couple of mods noted that they found "Jedi Younglings" to be funnier. Other mods said they felt the term was a bit undignified. We decided it was best to leave the choice to the people who actually visit the forum.

I read this once, I read this twice, and not a mention of me who made this event happen.

Anyway, I take it I am not popular with these mods who feel that the samy old one was funnier? New Users, accept it.

 

Yes, congrats, Vert, and good luck on all that stuff...especially the dial-up thing.

 

Who's congratulating him? I still haven't got my damn invitation.

Um, so? I didn't get a mention for starting the thread about polls. Big deal. They probably were discussing both in MS anyhow. If you did it just to get your name in the weekly update, then that is just a wee bit sad. Just be happy that you helped.

I don't think they are losing any sleep over the name change. And I don't think they would hate you for it.
