They do not have to post WHAT they voted, just that they either voted or abstained.

how will you know if they actually voted or not?

A decision was made to have moderators post a confirmation in new Moderator voting threads to ensure that mods are participating in the selection of new leaders. They do not have to post WHAT they voted, just that they either voted or abstained. Several mods immediately abstained in the thread discussing this.

Very good call. Also a good way to ensure there's no ballot box-stuffing going on in some creative way.

 

Its a shame to see Bria leave because she was one of *** few mods who actually listened to *** input of *** regular JCC users, and actually spent *** time to answer people's queries in full.

Why do I get the feeling the JCC is gonna get screwed again after Aprils Fools day winds down.

All i can say is a suitable afternoon replacement should be hired to replace the mods that were demoted/retired in the next three days. Otherwise it looks like the little joke with Darth Ignant makes all of us in the JCC that care about it the most. Who begged and pleaded for a moderator during the day will look like jackasses for thanking him for being our newest moderator.

We are aware of the time issue. However, that doesn't mean we will be rushed into making a decision. It's better for the Mods and the JCC if we spend time picking the best candidate for the position. Therefore, setting a deadline is counterproductive.

 

I totally agree with TheLargerWaterAnimal on this issue.

The last set of mod promotions were rushed, and that was bad.

The baseball theme's a nice idea for Mod update. More a football man meself, but I like the groovy pastiche.
