Adam, that was actually a mistaken truncation of two separate things, and isn't actually true. There hasn't been any decision made at all so far on a new member of the Fan Films staff.

I think that may have been purely part of the joke. If I remember correctly, scifi_3d_zoo was the Fan Films mod long ago, way back in the UBB days, or he was in charge of it, or something like that.

I have a question, so is the JC entirely seperate, yet together with the FF in everything? It seems that the two are so much different in what they do from one another. Just wondering.

 

FanForce is indeed a separate entity from the JC. They just use the JC's forums out of convenience. The FF mods tend to stick to their particular regions and only take care of JC problems in case of an emergency, and on the flipside, the JC mods generally keep their mitts out of FF business unless they're "double duty" mods ('work' for both FF and the JC).

The rules are exactly the same for both the JC and FF, though.

As they apply to the forums...we've got our own set of guidelines that apply for offline stuff. I'm pretty sure that's what you meant, but thought I'd clarify. We're pretty much our own separate branch here in the forums, except when things that would normally only apply to the JC/TF.N, or occur over "there", have trumped what FF wants on occasion.

Yeah, I'm still here. As JGM said, I took a few days off to focus on school and other parts of life, and the "few days" ended up turning into around a week. I was demoted as part of the April Fools gag (which I knew was going to happen ahead of time), and didn't bother getting repromoted until I had a consistent internet connection.

We didn't forget. This simply is not a matter for discussion because the existing moderators for the forum feel that there is, in fact, no shortage at all. If they do, many current moderators have offered to pitch in when they need it.
