MS Update Mod Squad Update | September 22, 2002

I'm not happy with the SPAM thread decision-- it just gave us a place to let loose what we want to type on the JC (within the ToS), and helped a lot when I was bored. Plus, what will I do without keokiswahine's wonderful recipes?

The spam thread was hypocritical. For all of our rhetoric to say spam isn't allowed, it certainly paints a confusing picture when an admin-created thread openly welcoming spam is allowed to continue. It sends a mixed-message. Either intentional spam threads are allowed or they aren't. We'd like to continue moderating to the rule that it is not allowed.

Teh GrippZ is a Mod again. It's about time he decided to get back in the mix.

 

JediGaladriel was repromoted at her request to moderate the Fan Fiction forum since Julie's taking a leave of absense.

 

Is there anything to update on the issue of manual signature images yet? According to the MS Update from a couple weeks ago, "the polls will be kept open for two weeks." Well, it's been two weeks. Has anything been decided yet?

I have another question:
What is a forum "Co-Moderator"? I saw this in a title earlier this week, and was wondering what exactly that meant, since the person didn't have colors or moderator status (according to their profile).

I'm not quite sure why he had the title. It's gone now, though. ?

 

While we are clearing up mods and titles, does anyone know where DaftMaul mods? He doesn't have a title to specify. He posts mostly in FanFilms, but MaxVeers appears to be that forum's mod.

 

DaftMaul does indeed mod Fan Films, mesa tinks. He is TFN Fan Films staff.
