MS Update Mod Squad Update, Week Ending 29th March

MS Updates:

Raven has left the position of Technical Administrator, dedicating his life to a study of the Bolivian fruit fly and something to do with the Ampitheatre and SFF. There has been much speculation about who would fill Raven's recently vacated pants; and whether or not the man, or indeed woman, would be up to the task of filling said pants.

The discussions raged, alliances were forged and broken, power brokers brokered powerful, um things, and in the end gabe was elected as his successor.

Yes, gabe now wears the mighty Admin pants of Raven.

rhonderoo has relinquished her Fan Fic moderating post, allowing occi, uh, oqqui, um oqidaun the glory of modding Fan Fic. After hours of deliberating and some dirty jokes, the ModSquad has decided we really like oqidaun, even if we're not sure how to pronounce her name.

malkieD2 is spreading his wings and fluttering about on reduced time. Expect to see him battling Godzilla in downtown Toyko within the next seven days.

Holidays

The ModSquad has been discussing ways in which we can add a few more holiday theme banners to the place to brighten it up. Suggestings for holidays which involved flagellation, fasting, or letting the Batley FanForce Guild recreate the Battle of Pearl Harbour were soundly rejected; but in a moment of inspiration we decided upon "Thank The Maker Day". Expect more to come .

The ModSquad has decided to add two new forums for your discussion pleasure; however, they are so hyper-mega-super-alphabetically-secretive, we can't tell you now what they will be. Well, we can, but just won't.

In the update brought to you by the one and only Twi'Lek Jedi - equal parts CT Mod and industrial strength cleaner - it was mentioned that the regulars of the Classic Trilogy forum would be subject to some abject tyrrany. The Server Issue

As you may have noticed, the server has been playing up. It's been buggered, bamboozled, and just plain stuffed.

We're working very hard to fix the problem, though of course we haven't the foggiest what caused it.

Early update. For me it's not even Wednesday yet.

Once again congrats to Gabe and oqidaun (sp) on your new posts.

Ballot Box Monday over on the CT is a great idea. I encourage everyone to check it out. We didn't have that great of a turnout for the first week, but that doesn't mean we can't have a brighter future in that department.

And how much bribing's it going to take for you guys to spill the beans about the 2 new forums. Now you got me wondering.

Despite the server problems, it's been a pretty good week.

We weren't. We were talking about problem users.

jedichef; we're just finalising a few things, and with the server doing a Robert Downey Jnr and crashing each time it gets a second chance, we're behind schedule. Obviously, we don't want any hiccups for this event, and would rather give you guys a lovely surprise.

Aren't we mods just the nicest bunch of people you've ever met?

The Mod Squad is running smoothly, yeah? And I feel that an update in the style of the one and only Mr. David Brent would help a lot . . . not that there are problems that need to be, as you might say, 'fixed' . . . or if you like problems, that's your thing and I'm not saying . . . but you know we want things to be well and good and . . . yeah, so, just do an update in the way in which you think I, Mr. David Brent, would do it, you know? Just to sort of spread the love and let everyone know that we're laughing with them and not at them, you know?

Except for the JCC. We're laughing at them, right? But not in a vicious way. So, that's good.
