MS Update Mod Squad Update - Week of 7/12/06

There had been an amazing and hilarious Pirates of the Carribean themed update planned. Unfortunately, it was stolen by pirates The update has been redone through a lot of effort and at much expense. Humor has not been recovered.


Mods Away:
--though mentioned last update, E_V is now actually gone. Shocking.
--VaderLVR64 crazy busy through "July 14 - 20th or so."
--Sister_Sola @ Comic Con July 18-24th.
--Mexican Pirate Llama will be vacationing from the 42nd-1138th.

--TheBoogieMan is on reduced online time through the 15th.

--Moleman triumphantly returned from awayness.
--Darth-Stryphe back as of the 11th/this being posted.

I'm back from hiatus. I would like my mod stick and colors back.

I had magenta text, bolded. With a lime green outline. No background.

 

Nobody ever mentions the Fan Force Moving Social Thread [FFMST] and thus instead of posting "Nice Update" [Oi! The colors/colours! my eyes!] I have to post the location of the FFMST which is currently residing in Latin America General Discussion. We're serving fried plantains and coconut milk.

How does one go about actually becoming a MOD?

 

Not asking to be one, is a good start.

I'm nt looking at becming a MOD, I'm interested in the proces sued to pick them.

I wouldn't have the patience to put up with being a MOD.

 

What's up with this "My Board Info" link in the header?

 

Part of the latest IGN update, it seems. It's a totally useless and redundant feature, since you can already go to your profile by clicking on your username.

Yeah I think that's basically it. I believe Sapient thought it was something that was IGN-wide, not a specific set of scripts/code that gabe wrote.

 

I like it since I have to go through my mod profile to get to the public one.

 

Given that a) it's in an area of the boards that is not editable by an administrator; b) it doesn't appear on all the board pages; and c) it was appearing on the betaboards before showing up here, it is definitely a board software change.

I obviously don?t have the experience or knowledge of the boards that you do. I was just hypothesizing as to the reason for it in the header, based on a comment made by DarthSapient. Thank you for clearing it up.
