FF:WA Model Making

Just curious if anyone is interested in a day of model making.

It can be Kits straight out of the box, scratchbuilt or whatever you like.

I have some power tools to make the job a bit easier. cant find the damn Hydro-spanner atm.

some kits i am attempting to finish or start

1: Star Destroyer (just over 1 metre long)

2: Discovery from 2001-a space odyssey ( around 2 1/2 metres long)

3: Death Star diorama (5 foot diametre)

4: BattleStar Galactica (6 foot long)

5: R2-D2 (lifesize)

6: Stargate (lifesize and also smaller scale model)


Of course the model you choose to make doesn't have to be on the same scale that i do. I just want to know if any one else also needs motivation of other modellers, which can be on a regular basis if interest calls for it.

 

Sounds fun, I'd be in it, I don't have anything to build atm though, unless you include an lx Torana

 

About time you get working on that Star Destroyer again. I'm hanging out to see the final version.
I'd be willing to lend a hand on them since I don't have any models to make myself.

 

I may not be that good but I'll lend a hand in anything (especially the full size Star Gate, I wanna see that finished).

 

I'm also in the process of making a smaller scale model of the gate as well

 

Wanna name a day? sounds like something most of could get into,

Definately a good activity idea. Maybe even for our next meet. Might be a good idea to have it at wookie's place if that's ok, since he's got good gear and it's a decent sized place (plus he could show off the big gate).

i dont mind having the meet here but my tv is not exactly meant for large scale viewing if you want to watch any movies and definatly byo chair if you dont wanna sit on the floor

i havent named a day for doing models yet as i was just seeing how much interest there was.
seem there is a good amount i will set up one of them poll things when i wake up

if there is a date thats already convenient 4 every 1 let me know

hmmm, the gate,as it is i havent got a DHD to go with it yet, so you would have had a little problem dialling out of an incomplete gate without the DHD anyway

 

Problem Solved!

I have all the stargate software on my PC. Hook it up here and a little there and we'll be surfing in no time.

 

Doesn't someone else need to build a gate for us to do that? Or are we going to come out at MGM studios?

 

Are you kidding! If I open a stargate I'm not interested in going to another Stargate on this god forsaken rock.

There must be thousands of destinations out ther!

Quite a collection there. GamesWorld in Bunbury have a few Star Wars and Star Trek models left. Pretty cheap as well. Might get some more.
