I think that we should have moderators for the Winston Salem board. What do you guys think?

And I volenteer my services as the SITH APPRENTICE of Winston Salem for the job.

that would be cool stardog if you were the mod. as long as you don't ban any of us for anything another mod might ban us for.

 

In all seriousness:

In FanForce, only RSAs and GSAs can moderate the boards. This is the wish of the TF.N staff, which owns the boards. We had discussed giving CRs moderating powers in their respective forums, but the board software doesn't allow us to restrict the boards that folks with mod status can moderate and the TF.N staff does not want that many people (because there are alot of CRs) to have unrestricted moderating powers.

We RSAs look to the CRs to keep an eye out in their respective city forums and then inform us of anything that we may need to moderate. Yes, it is an extra step in the moderating process, but we have found that it works rather well.

Now, if the CR wants to appoint someone to help them be the "watchdog" in their forum, that is fine. This person wouldn't get VIP status, as only one person (the CR) per chapter can have VIP status. But, anyone from a chapter can contact me to inform me of problems that occur in the city forum.

I hope all of that mumbo-jumbo made sense.
