Saga Modern SW (Saga Era) Kotor Related project...come and comment ?

Basically, there is a neat Console RPG contest on a site, Icybrian. I'm not sure they meant games like KOTOR (more japanese games), but KOTOR IS a Console RPG. So, I decided to give it a try.

I had a major fiction project, but this was WAY too ambitious. I decided to scale it down, making it a self-contained story, of about 20 pages.

Yavin-era Empire: the frigate Maru-Ki find in the Outer Rim a derelict vessel: the Ebon Hawk. Apparently, the Human at the command fried himself/herself the commands (with the remains, hard to tell the gender. BTW, very clearly, it?s an inside joke). The interest of the Imperials is mostly drawn to the «bizarre» creature that is also onboard. (This never described creature being an?original Sith. The point is for the readers, that Lady or Lord Revan found a Sith, and marooned the ship cause of the threat. Imperials don?t know it)

The frigate commander is delighted when he is ordered to return to Coruscant ASAP. Will you be really surprised when you learn that this trip turn quite bad quite fast ? There are row of suicide, and an attempt of mutiny. The whole thing is told on the POV of the two lone female crewmembers, Mira and Lucia. To make matters short, Mira is a sort of cheerful, ?daddy-girl?, haunted by the fact that the only reason she is tolerated onboard is because of her father is an Admiral-she feels completely worthless, deep down. Lucia is a sort of «nerd» like technician, with a rather dreadful familial history. Mira showcase a remarkable resistance to the «gloom» falling on the Maru-Ki, that more or less imply Force sensibility.

This look like an rip-off of Aliens, except for a tiny point. The «disease» is not related to the Sith, but to?Lucia. She is an extremely powerful, if untrained, Dark Jedi. Like the Exile or Nihilus, because of trauma (in her case, repeated abuse) her connection to the Force have been severed: she ''draws'' the Force from other beings. The cadaver of a Sith acts for her like a giant battery, to be short....

She don?t have telekinesy or the like. But she is extremely skilled at mind-control. Basically, she control the whole crew. She have been lured to the Ebon Hawk. To Revan. Because of one thing : atonement.

Why she did that ? For the sake of her friend. Lucia is quite clearly insane, but her madness is not showing in the same way than many Dark Jedis. Lucia just want people to like her, to love her. Mira is the only one who ever showed her some minimal kindness. Lucia would never touch her mind. She don?t have the same qualms about MControlling a whole ship, to «cheer» a bit Mira, who would then feel a little less worthless, because she would have «saved» Lucia. Lucia killed her own family in a quite gruesome manner: she seeks redemption. This is why Revan story (that he/she conveniently resumed on a datapad on the Hawk) fascinate her.

This will end up near Coruscant, as Lucia and Mira, the two lones survivors of the crew, are on the deck of the frigate: Lucia keep telling to Mira that ''he'' (the Sith ? Revan ?) is coming...Mira is stunned, put on a escape pod...and will wake up on the Executor, with a commendation for service beyond the call of duty, being credited for saving single-handlely the Maru-Ki, as well as bringing priceless artifacts to the Emperor.

The absolute gift being Lucia herself: she accept willingly to be taken to Byss, if Mira is left alone. The closing scene would be Lucia with Mira together in the Menarai (note: this is a very, very obvious hint about how Lucia was seeing the relation), before reality settle backs him: Lucia is tortured/experimented upon in Byss...
