Argh the game looked so good at last summer's E3. I get my copy tomorrow too. Let's hope the SP is good, like you all say if you want MP RTCW is the shiznit!

I played MoH AA multiplayer today for about two hours.

DoD is more fun than this in my opinion. The only advantage this game has over DoD is pretty graphics. There are a few things that really bother me about MoH.

First of all, there is no blood. The lack of gore doesn't make me mad in itself. However, this game shoots to be really simmiy, and no blood really takes away from the WW2 experience. Their official explanation at their site is that there is no blood because the Nazis had extremely thick uniforms and you wouldn't see the blood coming out. Okay, them, explain why we don't see blood when a sniper shoots a bullet through your head or when an Allied soldier gets hit. Also, you simply can't tell when you're hitting somebody. This is really the most irritating part of the lack of blood thing. I need to know if I'm hitting the guy, dammit.

Second problem is that snipers own the multiplayer. I played Omaha for about half the time I played (Great map, btw. Blows DoD's away. They had to shorten the beach length so people's systems and connections could handle it... and also so snipers wouldn't be more dominating than they already are.). Say you have ten guys on each side. At least five guys on each side are going to be sniping the hell out of each other. Usually more. The Allies probably have a 42% chance of getting up the beach alive if the Axis snipers know what they are doing. Omaha isn't the only map like that either, the three others I played on have the same problem. Pretty annoying.

Oh well, that's all for now. I'll probably play a bit more to form a concrete opinion on it, but I think I'll stick to DoD and RTCW for my multiplayer WW2 experience.

    For all you blood fans

Anyway, I wanted to talk about medals. Here's the locations of the ones I've found:

-In the mission where you free the Colonal in Arzew, in the courtyard past the spotlights, there is a staircase. Go up it, through the hall, and rescue the prisoner. Escort him to the coastal guns you destroy.
-In the U-529, pick up the manifest on the table, inside the u-boat itself
-Complete the Omaha Mission. May have to use sniper rifle against MG42 gunners on bluff (not sure)
-At the mission 4 manor, get the explosives, and destroy the two King Tigers outside
-Escort all three tank crew members through Sniper's Last Stand

Anyone know where the others are?

I like alot of WWII things. It intrigues me. Saving Private Ryan. Enemy at the Gates. Empire of the Sun. Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Day of Defeat. Medal of Honor. Band of Brothers (if I had showtime, I could watch it, but its spielburg, so its gotta be good). I loved so many of the environments in both MOHAA and RTCW. Can't wait for the MOHAA expansion coming out this fall. :D

I just played MOHAA after playing JO. OMG it's like going from MOHAA TO RTCW! I felt like a slug in MOHAA. ;)

Also, I have to say that JO and MOHAA are the two best FPSs out on the market right now. IMHO.

You'll get basically the same performance, maybe better. Download the demo if you want to be sure of it.

I find JO runs considerably better than MOHAA, despite the fact that they're the same engine and all.

They may run on the same engine but MOHAA is very different from JO. I would say that a better comparison to JO can be found in RTCW. MOHAA was designed to be much more realistic then either of those two games were. The physics in MOHAA is designed to make the gameplay feel as if it were real people in the game and not superhuman characters like you would find in Quake, RTCW, or JO. When I say superhuman I mean characters that can take a lot of damage, jump incredible lengths, run extremely fast, fall down long shafts without dying, and etc.

I personally love MOHAA and the realism in it is one of the features that I love most.

I havent bought the game yet, but i have played to SP demo, and it looks pretty cool. I'm worried about the MP from everything that i have read. I'm wanting it to be really cool. I would like to download DoD, but it's too big and would take too long on a slow speed. I was thinking about buy RTCW just for the MP because i had played it at a friends house and that was fun...couldnt get enough of it. But i'm not sure..i'll play the RTCW demo to see if it works on my computer first..then after i get MOHAA i'll decide what to do.
