Saga Moments in SW you thought were funny.

Hard to explain this one. For me, it plays like a weird bit of black humor where screams of torture are met with deadpan reactions, like something out of Mel Brooks or Monty Python:​

Love this moment. The humour doesn't seem inappropriate even thrown into a serious scene. Makes it feel like Star Wars.

Ingram's contributions definitely underline the idea that Star Wars is primarily a visual attraction -- and a pretty hilarious one at that.

Oh, there isn't any (that I'm aware of). Just two different moments from the movie that came to mind.

Does the infamous stormtrooper head bump count?

 

Two (closely linked) - from ANH. First is Vader's 'WHAT!?" when Han reappears at EXACTLY the right/wrong moment depending on your perspective. And also the last shot of him in the damaged TIE fighter at the end cracks me up. Big bad Vader, super force wielder, stuck in a crappy out of control vehicle and can't get it out of the spin. I don't know why but it gets me.

 

Yeah. That is kind of a Benny Hill moment, isn't it?

 

I wanted to add Jabba pushing C-3PO in RotJ, poor him.

Hmm... "the world, is my blog". I'm filing that as a potential Bond title.

 

I think one of my favorite humorous moments is in the beginning of ROTS when half of the Invisible Hand breaks off as it tumbles into Coruscant's atmosphere, and Anakin simply turns to Obi-Wan with a concerned look;

"We lost something!"

I also like the scene in the climax of AOTC where R2 is rescuing a head-severed 3PO in the arena battle, and 3PO keeps spouting out all these cheesy puns.

Another good spot is in ESB when Chewie intentionally puts 3PO on backwards...."I thought that hairy beast would be the end of me...Of COURSE I've looked better!"

And who can forget:

"We're fine, we're all fine here, now, thank you...How are you!??"

 

I loved when Chewie was trying to get on to the Falcon when escaping Cloud City and banged C-3PO's head on the ship's hull.

 

The bloopers make it funnier

LUKE: Han! Can you reach my Lightsaber?
HAN: Yeah! Sure!
*Reaches for lightsaber*
LUKE: No, that's my face!
HAN: Oh, I thought there was a deer's ass in here!

 

Stormtrooper stupidity. The locked door couldn't possibly be locked for a reason and the two droids totally belong on the Death Star. Also "Close the blast doors! Open the blast doors! Open the blast doors!"

 

Han Solo in general in ESB, especially his quips at C-3P0.

One from The Phantom Menace I've always thought was funny is when Anakin is saying goodbye to 3-P0 and says "I'll make sure mom doesn't sell you or anything." I don't think all of Jake Lloyds lines play well, but that one really works IMO.

 

I was re-watching part of a ANH to make a funny SW video and I find some Motti moments funny

"Dangerous to your Starfleet commander not to this battle station"

"This station is now the ultimate power in the universe"

"Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways lord Vader"

 

I find many of Han's interactions with 3PO amusing and priceless.

 

I actually found Jar Jar's scenes in The Clone Wars to be so over the top that I laughed.

 

There's a lot, but my personal favorite is in TESB:

Leia: They're getting closer!
Han: Oh yeah, watch this! (attempts to go to lightspeed, but the hyperdrive fails)
Leia: Watch what?

 

Anakin calls Palpatine a "good man" in AOTC.

 

This is in the TCW but I find it funny when Palpatine says

"Murder, its inconceivable" hilarious

Obi-Wan: We're losing droids fast!
As they watch two of the little astromechs get blasted off the Queen's ship by the Fedies before Artoo saves the day.

 

Well crap that's pretty dark.

 

I did get a laugh in Episode Two from Obi-Wan taking a brief time out from hunting a dangerous assassin to help a drug dealer reassess his lifestyle choices. Just the way he just dropped it into the conversation, because Crime Does Not Pay.

 

I don't know why but I love this banter.

Han: It might.
