What news? I got a job in the field I study, I do silly stuff in a student organization (I'm a PR guy! I write silly e-mails about future events and parties and make silly student newspapers with silly inside jokes! Hah I'm like an adult) and on my current reading list there is Brandon Sanderson and One Piece up to my knees (a friend of mine wants to introduce me to the colorful realm of manga and anime).

But hey, amidst all my hijinks I found time to watch a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones! And wrote commentaries of them as usual. By the way, is it just me or Finland or has there been an exponential growth in the number of spoilers the regular news sites have put up on their main pages this time?

 

Yayyyy! I've missed these this summer. Just caught up. It's sort of weird rereading what happened in Season 6... for some reason my sense of time has faltered and some of these events I remember happening earlier. Sheesh. Seasons 5 and 6 are basically just a blur to me.

Aha. I forgot that's who said that. Tyrion quotes a lot of people and while in the book it's clear, it's less so in the show. Curious.

 

I finally picked up seasons 4 and 6 of GoT on blu ray, thanks to a sale at work. Now I need to actually watch past the end of season 1

 

Taylor Swift's new single isn't that great. It'll probably grow on me, there are some catchy bits, but it doesn't live up to the best stuff on 1989.

Have just seen Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets and I liked it, over all good but not great. A nice combination of politics, great visuals, action, great visuals, humor, great visuals, interesting ideas I have not seen before, great Visuals and a nice end message. Oh did I mention that it had great visuals.

Is it my fault that coffee comes from Jawa and that you have changed your Avatar.

The artist (really nice guy b.t.w.) is not that good at drawing (he say so himself), this is an example of him trying perspective painting (is that the word)

Valerian is already out of theaters where I live, which is honestly pretty damning. Fortunately there is a dollar theater that it'll probably come to - no matter what the quality of everything else is, I really want to see the visuals on the big screen.

 

Valerian didn't play in my country and I'm bummed. Instead they filled the theaters last month with Transformers and now it's half Transformers and half Captain Underpants.

 

How ironic since Transformers bombed hard too.
