Mongoose Among Cobras

This'll probably get locked, and I would've asked over in the Authors forum, except there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of traffic there. It's been years since I heard that Allston was working on this book, and haven't heard anything about it recently. Does anybody have any idea if he's still writing it, or what his next novel's going to be?

Yeah, he's writing AT LEAST four more books before he gets to this, if he's even still working on it. And it was an original SF novel in the same vein as the Wraith stuff.

 

i think the quote was, "it'll be finished when it's finished". I too am desperatley looking forward to this one.

 

I don't think that it's listed at amazon.com, so it could be a while.

 

He's done the Terminator book, and isn't he doing another tie-in as well now? So obviously it's on the back burner for now

Mongoose are the nemesis of cobras. I read they can back flip over a cobra's body to bite their necks. How acrobatic.

I know what mongoose is, I want to know what the book is about. Is it a SW book?

No, it's not an SW book. iirc it's an Allston original .... and I remember back a few DragonCon's, he read excerpts from the book, it sounded very interesting.
