ST Monsters / Creatures in the ST

If they ever go to Onderon be it in the ST, or if they ever do anything with the Old Republic, I'd like to see the Beast Riders:

 

Oh and I'd like to see a Gundarrk and womp rats. The beast from the holochess would also be awesome. Since we still don't know what happens to the preROTJ EU, I would also like the technobeasts from Bane...
Another interesting concept would be a another hive society like the genosians,killiks etc. but with more vasied castes like soldiers and a queen (I know they added a Geonsian queen in TCW, but it was a missed opportunity in AOTC to not have included her. The Alien queen still scares manages to scare me (and it's delightfully disgusting how she sheds her abdomen/eggsack).

 

Most laypeople will call crocodiles reptiles as well. And they're on the "dinosaur branch" (archosaurs) rather than the "lizard branch".

Which monsters from the OT do you want to see return in the ST?

You should hold out until they offer you a significant role, maybe as a Jedi Master or Sith Lord.

 

Monsters need to be incorporated, union style. They deserve their rights in the GFFA...

 

Since we know Star Wars has life forms that can live in space, I would like to see that aspect explored. Asteroids crawling with space spiders? Solar-sail butterflies? Troopers scraping barnacles off starship hulls? Huge, implausible, rocket-powered, starfighter-chomping horror-bats? Yes!

 

Of these? Banthas or Mynocks. Both are common in the GFFA. Anything else would feel way too forced.

New monsters, please.

None. What's the point of new Star Wars movies if we're just getting reheated leftovers?

 

Yeah something like that! You know, I came back in 96 to shoot a few scenes for the Special Edition and I lent my voice to some video games but that's only because I got more screen time.

A living Krayt Dragon would NOT be cool, on Tatooine...

 

Out of this list, we haven't seen a living Krayt Dragon. If we're revisiting Tatooine, seeing a Krayt Dragon would be awesome.

As long as they are made by dressing up Elephants... or they are puppets I don't mind...

 

None of these, I want new creatures.

 

More than anything, I want the films to add new, imaginative creatures rather than simply retread old ones.

BUT.

If they are going back to Tatooine as has been rumored, I want to see a full on Harryhausen-esque face off between a Jedi and a Krayt Dragon. That would just be rad.

 

Tauntauns are not monsters. They just smell bad.
maybe we can see some one pull the ear off a Gundark.

 

I don't mind seeing some of the older monsters such as the Rancor but I'd prefer they amazed us with us some new and crazy looking ones. We're most likely going to see Tatooine again for like the fourth time so maybe refresh the planet a little with new creatures instead of treading on old ground.
