Sorry guys , I forgot to switch the MacBook from internal mic over to the Snowball mic and the podcast is scrap because of the interferance coming from that room. It was such a great meeting to. Again sorry and I feel horribal about it.

Tim or anyone else.. I had a thought this afternoon about the interference in that room.
There is a cordless phone in there, could that be causing the static we keep getting ?

Wouldn't think so. Any interference the cordless phone would cause would be while it was in use; there would be no interference from it just sitting there. If you hadn't told me that you recorded things just fine at home with that laptop's mic, I'd think it was a problem with the laptop's mic itself. Of course, it could be something about that room. It's odd that I have cell and WiFi signal outside of the room but both of them die while in it.

 

Just called GP and asked if they know of any interference,but they did not though I was told the business to the right of the room has security equipment in there,could that be a cause?

 

Possibly, though now that I think about it didn't we have a problem with screeching at a different location? I think one of the times at Casey's the noise was there (before you got the Snowball). It may just be the mic in your laptop.

Anyway, it's not a big deal since we now have the Snowball mic.

 

Now if I can only remember to enable it !

 

Im sorry everyone but the podcast is in a little technical trouble.
On the plus side I found out via Apple suport the I have a internal Mic issue that will require sending off to be fixed.That was what was causing the static. On the bad side The Blue Snowball mic will not show up as a option on either my Macbook or iMac but will show on RC and Brian's PC laptop's. Im very sorry . Brian has the June podcast but He will have to get it to Tim somehow or me.
Im at my wits end..and that not very far...

** update**
I turn of the speakers and recorded 15 mic of STATIC FREE audio !!
So thats a good thing.

 

Great news!
I bought a new USB cable for the Mic and it seems to be working fine now
So we should be already to go for the July podcast.
