It's been a while since we played this, and as it's nearly Christmas, I suggest a tournament using the revised rules as laid down by the Yuletide convention 1958. Mainline stations are wild, but crossing the river incurs a 1-move penalty. As you know, there are other minor variants, but no need to list them all here.

    I'll start with Goodge Street

It's ok, there are a few players on the board. Settle down and watch, and it should be clearer (an underground map will certainly help though)

I see, so we're starting easy to give the noobies a chance to play. Ok, I can do that.

    Is that move legal?
EditOh, I see, you are using the Simon 'Bendy' Johnson style of play are you?

    Time to get dirty ...

    Earls Court

Of course it was legal. You need to go via King's Cross, which is wild in this variant.

Earl's Court, huh? Every man for himself then I guess. So much for giving people a chance [face_plain]

    Doubleback to Hammersmith (Circle line)

You get one turn, unless you trump another player, then you also get their turn. Trumping is not generally accepted in the Yuletide convention though. Technically you CAN trump, but you can lose respect from other players, so be cautious :)

Oh I see what you mean. It all depends on which variant you're playing, but the basic rules remain constant :)

Well, where are you at the moment? You need to look at the moves made beforehand.
