I think yoda's species is listed as unknown ,same with his planet.I think its been said they (he and yaddle) are from the unknown reigons.

 

I would have to agree with him *points up* as far as I know he's from the well known planet "unk-nown" and his species believe it or not is also "unk-nown." If someone actually knows though, you're my star wars god for the day.
