    They call it Pop in Mayberry too!! :) Sorry, just had to say that. If you watch TVLand, you'll get it :) . Wow, I wish I lived there, everything is perfect. O well.

    My stepbrother and stepsisters are from MI, and when they came to MA they called it "pop", too.

    I was confused at first.

    StepBro: Hey, want some pop?
    Me: What? Drugs?

    In 1999 Mountain Dew promoted SW: Episode I - you could buy cans of Mountain Dew with EP I characters on them. So, that may be where the connection comes from....

    For me Moutin Dew just tastes good and SW is the best movie series ever.

    I've always associated Star Wars with Xmas. The first time I saw ROTJ was when I was about 4 years old and it was sometime in December. My mom covered my eyes when Luke took off Vader's helmet. Man...Christmas kicks ass.
