heh, i'll be moving in august, right after my birthday...

you guys should have heard the conversations between IA and myself regarding LAN parties when we were considering moving into the same apt. complex. if we got the whole PFF to move into one place, there would be CAT-5 strung out of every window...

Oh yeah, I want my wireless

I want to reduce my bandwidth from 100 or 1000 to 8mpbs in a LAN situation. I want to have my neighborhood drop into my router and use it at their whim (had a customer with this actually). I want to be vunerable to stray EM emission screwing with my signal.

ROFLMAO!! Don't forget about the neighbors with the 2.4ghz phones. I'm getting a mental image of an apartment complex with a bunch of home-made pringles-can-wireless-booster-antennas hanging out of every window.

But wireless makes LAN partys no fun! Don't get wireless. Also, my house has a wireless lan, but that's just so my dad can connect his Laptop from work to the LAN at my house.

Pretty soon, I'll have a wireless LAN connection to my computer as a backup.

Ok, PFF, here's the plan:

July 11th
Those that can, meet at my house at 10am (early, I know, but by the time everyone that is supposed to come gets here, then it'll be, like, 11am)
We load the vehicles and form a caravan to head over to my new place. We move all the crap into place.

We take as many trips as needed to get all my stuff (depending on how many help, this should take--hopefully-- about 2 trips). That night, Kelly and I cook a dinner for all of those that help.
