Movie Night

Well, monday is the 12th, but yeah. Or the 19, 20, or 21st work best for me. I'm thinking the 12th won't work well b/c it's tommorow...or today depending on when you're reading this.

Would everybody be able to go on the 19? It seemed like a good night for Movie Night...

 

You all just have to do stuff on Mondays when I work, don't you?

 

Can't we do it on a Saturday for once?

 

Like Saturday afternoon... 2-3ish?

 

Bah, This Saturday? We're going to RenFaire so I can watch Dwayne eat his turkey leg and watch the trebu..nifty looking catapult like thingy launch stuff. What about Sunday?

Saturday could work. I could only go in the afternoon though. I could also go Sunday after 5pm. Trying to work around a performance schedule is hard work!

 

Ok, I'm trying to figure this all out, since I've been in a costuming vacuum for awhile...

Question 1:

Are we planning on seeing AOTC together as a movie night event?

Question 2:

If so, are we going Monday or Saturday night?

I guess I'm just trying to get a handle on this, as we would like to see it, too, once more before it leaves the theater.

 

sounds great, it's been too long since I've seen AOTC... I can make either tonight or Saturday. (or both??) Just let me know...

The word you were looking for Marcy, is trebuchet. For those who don't know, a trebuchet is a medieval catapult used for hurling heavy stuff. Usually stones. A few months ago I saw a program about trebuchets and other medieval war instruments on TLC in which they were hurling flaming pianos and small cars with a fairly large trebuchet. It was rather amusing. They can be quite powerful and were often used for knocking holes in the walls of besieged castles so that the invading army could get inside and kill people.

I now return you to your regular movie night discussion. Sorry for the historical detour.

 

Ahh Trebuchet. Well, my french is weak at best...well, weak is probably too strong a term. Wish I would have seen that...I have a soft place in my heart for medieval implements of mass destruction.

Well, since tonight is Monday...How's about Saturday? The only place it's showing is the Ultrascreen Theater in Waukesha (sp?). I'm thinking we go in the afternoon so we're not paying $8, but rather $5. Does that sound good to e'body?

 

Yeah, given the current time and all I think Sat. would work better...

So what time on Sat?? I would prefer a little later in the afternoon...

 

Well, www.marcustheatres.com doesn't have times listed for Saturday yet. They usually don't come out till Friday. I'm thinking a show around noonish would work. We could even do lunch before...

 

OH MAN!! I can't go Sat. I'm helping at Irish Fest on Sat. I'd LOVE to see AOTC on the big screen one last time but I made a commitment to help out, I love Irish Fest, I love AOTC!!! Eeee what a dilemna! Well, I guess I must take the way of the jedi, committment to your duties, whatever they may be. It is the way of the jedi. Sigh.

12:35 PM, 3:35 PM, 6:35 PM, 9:35 PM

I'm thinking the 12:35 would work out best for most people from the general buzz I've been hearing. We can even get lunch before hand if you guys want. That would be fun. Yes? No?
