    Going from the description of the former, Fett "fighting Vader as equal" means "distracting Vader so Fett can run away"

    Unlike most others, that one wasn't intended to be taken seriously. It portrays a story Grahrk tells to impress others, so it being nonsense was the entire point.

    Exactly! I think it was also Ostrander's subtle (or not so subtle?) way of poking fun at himself. I want to know how he dished this idea to Randy et al at Dark Horse back in the day -- "hey Randman, I'm getting sort of sick of my characters and reached a blank. I can't think of a next arc." "Listen John you lazy good-fer-nuthing, I got 12 problems and you ain't gonna be one today. Go write about that Hellboy ripoff you created or kill Quinlan or something. I dunno."
