Shame on you all, My first thread to make two whole pages and 50% of it is about grits

Daft I'm glad you got it working on your Mac, you are one of two that have tried. (and succeeded) Thanks.

sqerl I look forward to your comments

JediOutcast Thank you! Please Let me know how it works out for you!

halibut, I thikn your speeling is fyne.

Chris (DL) I you want to profile it on DL-Radio I'm sure I won't mind <nudge><nudge><wink><wink>.

NickLong did you get it working? Sometime you have to reboot and restart the install. What Operating System are you running?

fourfools that is the hardest part, just sitting down and going through the whole script. But the payoff is huge at the end, imagine a complete list of every costume, every prop, every piece of equipment. The ability to generate Call Sheets and track progress. No more excuses to forget anything, just make sure you record and save your ideas before they escape your brain.

cassius I fixed the bug with reports if you have shots with no sets. And the detailed shot plan is a bit faster now. plus the online help and the complete sample file. Oh and you can save your reports to RTF if you want to email them or open them in Word or something.

Macho I think there are some programs out there that do storyboards. I'll look into it.

Downloading the file to have a looksee...

On the subject of Grits however, I live in the south. My forebears come from less than 50 miles away from the site of the original Hatfield McCoy feud. And I maintain that grits were meant as a substitute for self flagellation in the form of eating pulverized pine cones in almost curdled milk, heated up.

That, or a really bad way to make children behave by A) Providing an even worse alternative when Castor Oil didn't work, and B) By weighting them down with a dish that would sit like congealed barbells in the stomach to keep them from hopping about.
"Oh look, dinner AND a show."

Jesse Helms will be visiting you shortly. I suggest you reconsider your stance on grits. Crazy talk like that may get you tagged as a yankee here in the great state of NC :)

    Guys,

I used Movieplanner for a couple hours last night. This tool is GREAT. A lot of the problems we had keeping track of things on The Formula would have been taken care of with this program. If you're starting out producing, directing, or writing, GRAB THIS TOOL.

Yes, i'm probably going to mention it on DLR. Mind if i mirror the file on digitalllama.com?

    Wow!

    All
Thanks for the wonderful praise. That makes it all worthwhile.

    Chris (DL}
I'm glad you like it. Yeah, if you want to mirror it too, that would be great. So far the mirrors will be at www.blenderwars.com, www.triatproductions.com, (both hosted the betas) and new additions www.fanfilmfx.com and www.digitalLlama.com.

None have confirmed having posted the file or what the URL will be yet. As soon as I get the links I'll post them. (or Nick and Chris post them here when you're ready).

    Thanks all!!!

    Macho
I don't know about free but here goes:
I was going to find and post all the links in this thread but I'm too lazy, have a look here .

I downloaded MoviePlanner the other day and I've been playing with it ever since. It is the ultimate in organization, especially for someone as lazy as I am. I mean, I drive across the street to go to my friend's house. But this program is easy to use and puts everything in the exact...

I'm gonna stop babbling and just say "Props. Mad, mad props."

    Peace Out,

Just shoot me a mail and we can discuss. I may be able to set you up with mirror and give you a utility to FTP directly to the area.

    Wow.

    I'm glad you like it.

Its very gratifying that it satisfies a need out there. I know not everybody will use it but, I'm really glad that for those people who's needs are met by it, like it.

I have to thanks some folks for testing and providing feedback and tons and tons of enhancement requests over the past year, that made it what it is today:

Zayn, Tokugawa, Twin Suns, Jarn Tal, Melvil, lokmer, Wondernerd, Netvudu, Exodus, Jareth Dakk, and Bryan Harley

    I hope I didn't forget anyone!!!

Oh! and to DaftMaul for post the news item on the fanfilms.com home page, I found that to be very thoughtful of him.
