I saw the "Charlies Angels 2: Full Throttle" in friday. It was a really entertaining, tongue-in-cheek-film.
    Has anyone else seen it?

Just saw Charlie's Angels 2 today. It was quite entertaining actually, it's one those films that you just have to set your brain on zero and enjoy. Lots of funny details, for example playing The Who's "Who Are You" when going to check out the crime scene (CSI you know). But I still think that the helicopter escape in the beginning of the film is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Otherwise quite funny movie.

I'm going to see Pirates of the Carribean really soon today. I can't wait to see it. Keira Knightley is SO HOT!!! [face_love]

The heli-escape was funny, I like helicopters (KA-52 "Hokum").
I'm going to see the Hulk today. I'm not too interested in that character (actually, I've always hated it), but it doesn't cost anything and we don't have anything better to do.

I've also got tickets for T3:RotM on 020803!
    Grrreat!

Well there was couple of points that bothered me. First the idea that you could get falling helicopter powered up and flying before crash is ridiculous. Same thing has been used in Bond films couple of times and I still consider it a stupid idea.

Second Hokum is a brand new helicopter and it's barely in use in Russia so how they have one in Mongolia is just a mystery. I doubt they have even Havocs there.

Third they didn't have enough time to drive that truck over the edge in first place. They didn't start turning the truck until T-55 had fired. Now the round travels a bit under 1800 m/s (it looked like HEAT not APFSDS) and if we estimate the distance about 100 meter the Angels would have been quite cleanly blown up.

And fourth even though T-55 is hardly the best tank out there it should easily survive a hit by RPG-7 into front turret from the distance of couple a hundred meters.

Oh well maybe I shouldn't bother with these kind of issues. After all it was only a movie. But maybe I have just too much spare time...

It was unrealistic, but it didn't bother me at all. Because it was fun.
And as we're talking about helicopters, what are those stealth(?) copters in Hulk?

I have only seen those in trailer but they look like Comanches to me.

So it was a Comanche! I ID:d them as Comanhes (because of the strange tail), but my friend said that those are some kind of new stealth-copters.
They had those intriguing concealed weapon systems, which were nice.

I just watched monthy python's flyin circus comedygroup's Life of Brian and loved the s$?£$$ end. Everybody abandon Brian on the cross and then one guy starts to sing.

I have to say that british comedy is good to watch time to time and not allways those american movies.

That strange tail is called FANTAIL. Quite what that means I don't know. And Comanche is practically a new stealth-copter, since it's as nearly invisible to radar, audio and infrared detection as modern technology can make it.

Anyway we're talking about movies, right? I haven't seen Hulk and I probably won't see it until some of my friends gets it on a DVD. I don't have very high expectations about T3 but I guess I still have to go and see it. But Pirates Of The Caribbean I'll surely go to see. I like pirate stories so it doesn't really matter whether movie is any good. I even sort of liked that Cutthroat Island thing that Harlin made some years ago. But probably the next film I'm going to see is that new Jim Carrey film. At least the trailer had lots of funny moments. Hope that those aren't the only ones in the movie.

Bruce Almighty: possibly (even though I hate Jim Carrey),
    T3:RotM: I got the tickets,
    RotK: of course!,
    Kill Bill: possibly.

I really expected Hulk to be a ton of crap, as I've hated the character, it turned out quite entertaining. Not going to buy it on DVD, though. It wasn't that good. ;)

[Sorry! This post is in Finnish, since I was going to write it in a Finnish thread first, but decided to put it here, and didn't have time to translate it in English.]

Silmiinpistävintä krokotiilit "Just can't wait to be king"-laulussa, mutta muitakin oli bongattavissa. Osa oli paremman näköisiä kuin alkup., kuten vesiputoukset "Can you feel the love"-kohtauksessa.

Warthog Rhapsody).
Meinaan piirtää jonkinlaisen kartan, että missä mikäkin oli, sillä siltä DVD:ltä on tosi hankala löytää mitä etsii. Paitsi jos muistaa ulkoa.
(Pari kivaa del.sceneä: North America -> Glendale -> More. Siellä esim. Warthog Rhapsody ja varhainen Circle of Life-kohtaus.)

Kuvagallerioita, viisiminuuttisia videopätkiä ja sen semmoista. Suurin osa videoista tuntui olevan Broadway-musikaaliin liittyviä. Lapsia kai kiinnostaa Timon&Pumba safari-hommeli. TLK:n kolmososan traileri on mukana, mutta siinä ei ole mitään uutta kuvamateriaalia.

Well, I just decided to go see "Intolerable Cruelty" with my roommate. It's the Coen's new movie at least, it should be worth seeing. I absolutely loved O Brother, Where Art Thou? so the kind of humor they have in their film is very close to my tastes.

Gosh. This was the first time I used Finnkino's online booking system. Cool. Of course KinoPalatsi had a similar system up and running like 3 years ago. :)

    Kill Bill possibly next week.

The ONLY positive thing about the third m****x film is this: those power armors (?) looked good.
I haven't seen the part 2, and I definitely will stay far away from the last part.

Kill Bill was strange. And violent.
I could insert some comments here, but they would spoil you, so I'll talk about them later.
    The music was interesting. :)

Ok,I have to say Kill Bill was very strange, but at the same time good. Not good as Pulp Fiction thou, but I have to see end of the movie before I can really say how I feel about this movie.
It was so cartoonish that the violence was like you were watchinf Kummeli.
There was something missing and that was the dialog.
The trashtalk is what I really missed and there was just a few that really brightened the movie.
This actually was a movie that only reseives 3/5 stars from me and like I said,it wasnt that bad that volume2 couldnt save it.
I tell you what I really think in February.
