The last stand of the Ninja clan. It was an epic battle of several Samurai clans vs one Ninja clan. And some still say the ninja warlord got away clean. It was basically Japan's version of the Alamo.

Oh an a remake of a few world war two movies like the Tin Can Navy. Actually the story is better then the movie.

    Deadpool!

It has to be Ryan Reynolds (esp since they have apparently done some filming) and nothing to do with that terrible rendition in Wolverine origins. I know it's already "in production" but so many things are holding it back, and I just want to see it done and done right!!! :)

High Road to China, based on the original book, not the Tom Selleck movie, filmed by Peter Jackson who already owns enough WW1 airplanes and equipment to shoot it as written.

One reason I was sorry the old A&E "Nero Wolfe" series was cancelled was that they never got around to adapting the trilogy where Wolfe is up against Arnold Zeck, his own personal Moriarty. I'd love for those stories to be filmed.

Apparently Robert Eggers was interested in a 'Nosferatu' remake and I would love to see that

Clive Barker's Imajica. If done right it could be very epic. Weaveworld would also be nice,

Aye, Eggers is by for one of the most interesting directors working right now and I am excited beyond belief for The Northman. I would love if Nosferatu is his next project after that releases next year. Anya Taylor-Joy is supposed to star, if this iteration of Nosferatu does indeed happen.

Okay, History teacher here, so if you don’t mind, I’m going to try and sell some of you guys on why some more history epics should be made.

    Hannibal Barca vs Rome

Elephants crossing mountains. Mad scientist inventions destroying fleets. Men being killed so quickly and in such numbers it wouldn’t be equaled until WWI. Annihilation. Perseverance. Redemption.

Make the main character a poorer member of the Roman legions raised to oppose Hannibal right before Cannae, where in a single day, he slaughtered 70,000 men with an army half that size, who is then exiled to Sicily in disgrace, before getting a chance for payback under fellow survivor Scipio by invading Carthage’s home turf, in the thrillingly close and still savage Battle of Zama (where, unlike at Cannae, Hannibal *and elephants again.)

Oh, and a major subplot would be how some Romans are noticing that Scipio’s new army is leading to an increase in the usage of, and popularity of, the Roman commander’s right of imperium…

@godisawesome Speaking of potentially great historical epics, I would love to see someone adapt Pauline Gedge’s Lord of the Two Lands trilogy. For some reason good Egyptophile movies are really rare, and this is a great story.
