I think the old thread about movies and such is locked. Anyway, I watched Cutthroat Island over the weekend. It's from 1995 and is best known as one of the biggest (if not the biggest) movie flops of all time. I had never seen it before because of its reputation. I was pleasantly surprised. It was actually pretty decent, in it's own Star Warsy bad acting sort of way. The special effects and stunts were excellent.

Has anyone seen it? What did you think?

Is this a thread about lousy movies? Ever seen MONEY TRAIN? Ugh. That was what me and my first real girlfrind went to see on our second date. Before that was that Eddie Murphy vampire flick.

Should have taken that as an omen...

Hey, i have CHUD on dvd if anyone wants to have movie night...

Caniballistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers are awesome. We should have a low budget movie night. I have Cherokee Red chilling in the fridge if anyone is down.

I thought it was the other way around. A b movie night wouldn't be complete without the sequel to CHUD, CHUD 2 Bud the Chud

i was under the impression that CHUD 2 was not considered a a canonical entry in the CHUDverse.

Yep. Robot Jox has to be included in any quality low bidget movie night. I'm sure it can easily be obtained and placed on a dvd. Ron...

the second Beastmaster makes the original look like a candidate for the Oscars. anyway, i like the idea of an MST3K style movie night.

wasn't there a Beastmaster 3? He fought ANOTHER one of his brothers.

Dar's family was more messed up than Luke and Leias.

Every year for my husband's birthday, we've been hosting a Bad Movie night. There is a requisite of one Uwe Boll entry per event. Last year we got "In the Name of the King," "Vampire Wars"(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0430926/), and "The Gingerdead Man"(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364376/). And for those who are really into MST3k, make sure you check out "The Film Crew." It's kind of the same thing, featuring Kevin Murphy, Mike Nelson, and Bill Corbett, sans the silhouettes. The first time they referred to Bill Corbett by his real name, I yelled at the screen, "Don't call him that! He's Crow!" We've been renting them through Netflix, because I haven't actually seen them in stores yet. Warning, the movies and commentary tend to have a little more adult content.
