what 'first movie' are you talking about?
You know. The first one. Sheesh.....
Saw "Superhero Movie" last night with the girlfriend, we both agreed that it was lame and cheesy, just what one would expect from a movie like that. Wayyyyy to many fart jokes though!!
COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Gayest thing ever. Can't believe i wasted money to see that... i'm not letting chicks choose movies ever again,
Spiderwick Chronicles was pretty good. Great kids flick. Took Liam (my 7 year old) today.
Not too scary but scary enough for the kids. Not too scary for grown-ups either.
I give it 3 1/2 stars as long as you go into it with no expectations.
Ogre effects were probably the "stand-out". Goblins were pretty cool too (Rabid Cane Toads)
Back to you Mark......
I can't wait for Indiana Jones and 21...
Also out on DVD Jesse James is suppose to be awesome... never saw it advertised at the movies though... odd. Brad Pitt is suppose to be great in it.
21 is a standard popcorn flick.
Take a true story and 'base' a movie on it, remove most of the substance, add average actors as the leads and underuse the great actors, throw in a few montages and you have 90 minutes of averageness.
oh you dick.
Spacey is great... I mean anyone who can say "I want to look good naked" and get away with it is genius.
Have you seen it? Cause after semi pro... I'm not sure you're reviewing abilities are up to scratch.. Semi was better than I was expecting. No Anchorman but still some crack up lines.
edit: oh, and everyone loves a montage... time passes more quickly in a montage... you have to fade out in a montage...
I said 'and underuse the great actors'
ah... you're lucky then but you just spoilt me saying Kevin's not in it much? Boo
Anyone seen Gone Baby Gone or No Country For Old Men?
Both spose to be rather good, with good actors...
Haven't seen either but both DO look good.
Old Country is very violent so of course I have heard mixed reviews from differnt types of people
Yea... trailor looks like it could be a bit violent well the entire plot does. Going to see it tonight with a lady friend.
well... sadly I didn't end up getting to see "No Country For Old Men", instead sat and watched beautiful people... the likes of Ryan Renolds, Isla Fisher and Rachel Weize or whatever... 'Definately, Maybe' is a chick flick that's bareable... so for you blokes wanting to gain points in the miss's book... and she's in need of a bit of a rom com... this one is one you'll be able to sit through.
edit = I did still kill her in air hockey couldn't let her change movies on me *and* go easy on her in air hockey
Saw 'Charlie Wilsons War' last night. Pretty decent actually and kinda scary how the whole thing goes down.
Haven't heard of that.
Dark Knight is gonna be so sweet...
Oh hell yes!
Anyway off to Alaska tmorro. Word.
I hope you get diabetes.
Not polio or the clap? But diabetes?!
Well, then you can't have cake. Cake is good.
also, have you not seen Eagle vs Shark?
well, you better bloody well get some damn good photos to share, punk
Saw No Country... tonight.
Certainly an interesting flick... the ending is pretty cool. My mate hated it's ending I think. I'm just not sure he got it.
Certainly a bit grewsome in parts, but not overly thrilleristic, but very well done. Great acting too.
Eagle v Shark, obviously didn't pick up on that quote though.
Jarod says it to his sister after she's taken the piss outta him... "I hope you get diabetes" and walks out
Yea, I got the DVD... once or twice is unfortunately a max for that film... it's certainly not as good as the first viewing in the cinema. Still, might end up a classic.
Saw Ironman yesterday, was pretty impressed, one of the most well done comic book movies i've seen!
Jr's a pretty good actor too,
<3 kiss kiss bang bang.
